When I still worked with Tanner, on my days off I would spend it mostly alone, either taking myself out to dinner, going on a stroll in the park or just bonding with my cat at home.

I wasnt very good at making friends, the first friend I made on my own was Lily, but its more realistic to say she adopted me as her friend, she introduced me to Jade and when they were in Paris we would have dinner or drinks, but its wasnt a daily thing obviously. Me and Valery's friendship was formed on close proximity, but we ended up becoming quite close, I no longer spent my days alone. I really appreciate the few friends I do have. Maybe that was also one of the reasons why I agreed to move to new york.

I wouldnt see my friends every few months but more often.

"Rosie tell us all the details of your first week, I want all the juicy gossip" Jade says eagerly as she plops on the couch, taking her glass of whiskey to her lips

"It's only my first week, so there isn't much to say" I tell her honestly, besides that ordeal with Chloe nothing really exciting happened, I didnt want to bore her with details of documents, excel sheets, and schedules but then again knowing this workaholic she probably would enjoy talking about business

"Oh come on, there has to be something maybe you uncovered that Samuel is embezzling, are your coworkers a conspiring a coup d'etat, or have you had to deal with numerous screaming women"

"My, my Jade, I didn't realize how much a gossipmonger you are" Lily playfully voice joined in, as she handed me a glass of wine

"Don't be coy with me Petrova, you like gossip just as much as I do"

With a sigh she replies "Guilty" we all laughed in response "but seriously how has he been treating you, I hope he hasn't been too harsh"

"Not anything to extreme so far, he is obviously wary of me, and I can't blame him for that, he is like a stray cat, they need time before they allow you to pet them"

"So you want to pet him" Jade pressed with a mischievous glint in her eyes smirking at me earning her a light smack by Lily "what she said it I'm simply clarifying"

"How can one pet a person?" I inquired

Wouldn't it be quite awkward to stroke a human like one would a cat?

"Pats on the head, or a special type of petting so to speak that happens in the bed- ow Lily" Jade whined as she rubbed her arm, shaking my head as I laughed at the two

"He has a girlfriend you know, a spirited one at that"

"Oo now that's what Im talking about, do tell" she piqued leaning towards me

"You met Chloe?" Lily  questioned as well

"Only briefly, when she barged in like she was on fire"

"Ah yes, she is a diva" Jade said as a matter of fact

My raised brows furrowed "Are you two friends?" I inquired since her statement suggested she knew Chloe well, but I doubted that they we're friends since she wouldnt have said Chloe was a diva

She shook her head as she added "no, we are acquainted she is friends with Juliette, fitting if you ask me diva's tend to flock together" she finishes in a bored tone
