Recap: This only the beginning of the end.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have been on the road since 5 this morning, I looked over to Kyle, and Madison to see them fast asleep.
They have been through a lot, and it hurt me to picture them like that. Finding out that their dad left, and then this whole thing starts, and their mom has been bitten. It is a lot to process, I think of what it was like for me. I lost my dad before all this happen.
The broadcast stated that everyone was affected, does that mean he was too? I remember watching him breathe his last breath, I really miss him, but there's nothing I could have done.
"We're going into the city," Bryan said, I looked over at him
"The city is over ran, we won't make it." He sighs.
"This is the only way, we can go. The other path is blocked we can't pass it." I nodded, I took a look back at Kyle and Madison.
"You might want to wake them up. We are going to need everyone soon." I nodded, I climbed back there. I lightly shook Kyle's shoulder, he groans and wrapped his arm around me, forcing me down beside him.
I attempted to get out of his grip, but it was no use.
"Kyle, Madison." Madison opened her eyes and looked at me. She looks between Kyle and me, a smile spread across her face.
"That's so cute!" Kyle groan, placing his face against my neck. I don't know why my heart was beating quickly, might be because I'm worn out.
~~~~~~Dream Warning~~~~~
"Dad?" I looked around the house no one was here.
"Mom?" Nothing, not even a sound. I walked into the kitchen I found a short letter on the fridge.
"Johnnie we're at the mento hospital if I'm not home come to the infirmary. Love mom." I headed to the hospital, all these thoughts were running through my head.
Once I arrived at the hospital, I believe mom told the nurse I was coming.
"Johnnie Guilbert?" I nodded.
"Your mom has left, and you dad is in room 109 right down the hall." Why did my mom leave?
I walked into the room to catch a horrible sight, my dad, nearly dead on the bed.
"Dad." I walked over to his bed. He looked at me weakly, holding out his hand. I grabbed his hand.
"Dad?"
"I-I'm sorry son. I-I c-could b-be t-there." I felt the tears perk at the corner of my eyes.
"I-I love you."
"I love you too dad." He closed his eyes. His hand loosed around mine, the heart monitor went flat. My dad had lost the war with Cancer.
I didn't let go of his hand until I was plucked away from his lifeless body. I just couldn't believe it.
I was home in the pouring rain, I didn't care if I was to get sick. I walked up toward the door to find a note.
"Johnnie, I left town. I'm not able to take care of you on my own.
I stepped away from the door, I had nowhere to live, no clothes to wear. I ran to the one person that been there for me through thick and thin Bryan.
I opened my eyes, blinking the tears aside. I have been with Bryan, ever since that day.
"Are you okay?" I opened my eyes to find Kyle watching me.
We were still wrapped together, I nodded.
"You're crying, why?"
"I-it's nothing important." He drew me closer toward him.
"Tell me." I took a deep breath.
"I-I lost my dad to cancer, and my mom abandoned me."
"I'm sorry to hear that." He hugged me, I lay my head against his chest. I felt myself slipping off.
"Thanks for everything," I whispered.
"That's what friends are for." I fell asleep with a grin on my face.
