"We got to keep moving!" We were running for our lives, we were stuck in the city and probably running out of time. If we were to stop, we might not make it out alive.
"Damon!" I turned to look at Kyle.
"There's nowhere to hide."
"Guys they're closing in on us
"Everyone move now, shoot anything that gets in your way!" We followed Vic's order.
"Move, move, move!" We took off shooting anything that got in our way.
"There's a building up ahead."
"How are we suppose to know if it's safe or not." I ran ahead, checking my sides.
"We don't have time, we got in or we all die," Kellin said.
I grabbed the handle and it never budges. I jerked on it and still nothing.
"Guys it won't open." We all looked at one another, panic in our eyes.
"We got to keep moving." We ran throw shooting all the Walker, they fall to the ground.
"Madison, you got Copeland?" I asked.
"She's alright."
I grabbed at all the door and I couldn't find one. The last door knob I grabbed opened.
"Guys in here." I stood outside waiting for everyone to go in.
"Madison go in." Once Madison and Copeland were in, I quickly ran in behind them pulling the door shut just in time. They banged and scratched at the door.
"If we wait long enough, they might go away," Jeydon said.
"Is everyone okay?"
"Yes."
~~~~~~Later That Night~~~~~~~
Kyle and I were sitting in the corner talking.
"What if we don't make it out alive?"
"Don't say that you never know." I ran my fingers through my hair, flashing back to earlier.
"I-I'm scared...."
"We all are."
"I-I can't protect Madison all on my own." He was on the verge of crying.
"You're not alone, you got us."
"What if one day, I-I can't save her?" He looked at me.
"She gets bit and the infection spreads quicker than anything. What am I suppose to do?"
"It won't be an easy decision, but you know what you'll have to do." Kyle looked down, playing with his fingers.
"I won't be able to do it. I wasn't even able to put my own mom down."
"Just don't think about it, it won't happen. I'll be sure of it."
"Thanks, Damon." He hugged me.
I look at Kyle and Madison as a family, we all look at one another like that.
