The Primals

We were quite the group as I led them back to the city near our old base. I was, as usual, not allowed a gun, and was instead supposed to 'fall back if anything happens'. Seems like a great way to die, but I can't really do much anyways. I'm 'too untrustworthy'. As we get closer to the store I can see the sign that used to light up but was simply crushed to the point where it was only letters of the sign.

"We're heading to a Half Foods?" Wesley asks. "There's nothing good there, it's full of health junk. And they only have off-brand chips."

"Well, it's the store that's here and it's the store we're going to." I reply. Seeing as there aren't banners all over the place, it wasn't deemed important to the soups. We won't have any trouble here. I was just walking forward when I tripped. "Hey, you good?" Ethan says.

I look behind me and see a small string stretched across the entryway. A trap. Someone has been here before. I throw a pebble out from the rubble to try to trigger a trap and sure enough, it sets off 5 small explosions."There are traps! Be sure to watch your step." I say, getting up. Together, we head into the darkness, throwing pebbles as we go. "Who's there?" We hear a shadowy figure say. A ninja star gets thrown toward Sage's face "WHY AM I ALWAYS THE ONE BEING ATTACKED?!" Sage yells, dodging out of the way. The shadowy figure jumps down and the silhouette reveals to be

Kazuki. "Hey guys. Thought you were zombies."

"WHAT THE HELL MAN YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!" Sage yells "I know, now shut up. Listen, I have information." He looks like he is about to say more, but is cut off by a loud chant. "OH-AAAH, OH-AAAH!"

"Listen," Kazuki says with a sense of urgency. "We don't have much time. Climb up into the rafters, before they come." We do as he says, climb up the rafters and see something like a zombie-dog hybrid thing, with their riders looking like bulkier and stronger versions of them. "Y'see those? Those are the Primals. Now, they undoubtedly already know we're up here, so we should get going-" Kazuki whispers, but then one of the 'primals,' as he calls them, sniffs the air and says in a sinister voice "I know you're in there." He appears to have a scar on his eye. "OH-AAAH, OH-AAAH"

"Burn it to the ground." Scarface says.

"We should go." Jimmy whispers "No, stay, they'll sniff us out, wait till the smell of burning hits the air." Kazuki commands. We all wait for his signal, then leave, but they are waiting for us at the back door. Sage didn't notice. They grab her and We watch in horror as she is taken, and they run off.
