Chapter 27

The game had gone as planned by Y/n and started with Azusa shuffling and dealing the cards after Kou pitched a massive fit over the idea of the girl 'cheating again'.

Both celebrities kept going back and forth and Kou was by far the more dramatic one.

"Whyyyyyy?" The blond whined when Y/n had called 'Uno'.

"Maybe because I'm just better at the game than you!" Y/n laughed triumphantly before she placed down the last card and then stood up before clapping and doing a little dance.

Azusa almost laughed but he kept quiet and instead just stepped back a little bit more. "I... should probably go." He says quietly.

"What? Do you have somewhere to be?" Y/n questioned and tilted her head a little bit.

"Yeah... I do." The greenette replied quietly before rubbing the back of his neck.

"Oh, well alright!" Kou chimes in after he was finished sulking about losing the card game. He also began to pick up the cards and put them back into the case. He was gonna get alone time with Y/n!

Y/n frowned a little bit but she nodded a little more before smiling a tiny bit. She then went over and hugged Azusa lightly. "I hope you have a good rest of your day!" She tells him.

"I..." Azusa trailed off before smiling a little back at her. "Of course... you too." He says quietly.

"Haaa? Where's my hug?" Kou whines and he goes over before wrapping his arms around Y/n's waist and pulling her into a hug.

"No! You did nothing to deserve it!" Y/n started flailing and tried to grab onto Azusa but the latter was already gone.

"But I want iiiiit!" Kou kept clinging to her as he whimpered and whined almost like a dog begging for treats.

"Nope!" Y/n shoved him off hard enough and then started running.

Kou's mood shifted and he frowned before grabbing her by the wrist tightly. "Why are you running?" He asked slowly.

"Kou. I was just messing around-" Y/n began to say.

"Why does everything I care about leave me?! I won't let you go!" Kou's grip tightened enough to leave a mark on her wrist.

"Kou! Let go of me this instant!" Y/n demanded as she twisted her arm a little in his grasp to try and get him to release her.

"No! I won't let you go!" Kou repeated and only got angrier to the point that one of his eyes almost looked red.

"Okay, okay! Just chill out!" Y/n figured that she would have a better chance at getting out if she perhaps played along? If only she knew how stupid that move was.

Kou ended up pinning her down completely to the ground. "If there is one thing you'd best learn... it's not to screw with me or disobey me." He spat.

Y/n just closed her eyes and prayed that someone would come and save her.

Kou blinked a few times and almost came back to his senses and his grip loosened. He placed a hand to his head, "Ugh... my head." He grumbled quietly.

Y/n was quick to shove him off once again and this time she did not look back as she bolted out of the room and away. She didn't care that she left her bag and all of her stuff aside from her phone... all she knew was that she wanted to get away from the blond.

She began to ponder Kou's rather rapid changes in mood. One second he could be laughing and joking, then whining and clingy, then nearly psychotic. It was a giant whirlwind of mood swings that she could not even begin to comprehend.

She pulled out her phone from her pocket and called her driver to let him know that she wanted to be picked up but just as she was about to do that, she heard someone call for her.

"I/N!" Yui's voice could be heard and she waved before smiling brightly.

Y/n was still quite shaken up from that encounter with Kou but she put on a nervous smile. "Hello, Yui." She greeted as kindly as she could.

"Did you need a ride or something?" Yui asked since she had come there with Subaru who she managed to annoy enough into letting her go out.

"Oh..." Y/n had to weigh the pros and cons and she found that it wouldn't be too bad if she had them drop her off a couple blocks away from her home. "That would be nice." She finished and she gives another gentle smile.

Subaru just avoided eye contact and he was silent for the time being and just opened the car door for both girls to get in. He sighed heavily and then closed his eyes while trying to relax.

Both the girls started to just talk about a couple of different topics and Y/n didn't realize that she hadn't told the driver where to go.

They ended up at the Sakamaki house rather than hers.

"Oh! I'm sorry, Y/n-chan! I forgot to tell them..." Yui got a little upset at herself. "Maybe... you could stay here tonight? Oh! Your friend is here! Togo is his name, right?" She continued.

"Togo is here? Why would he be here?" Y/n hummed before she just shrugged a little bit and smiles. "And as long as it's okay with the Sakamakis, then I would be okay with it. Maybe we should share a room?"

"Yeah! It will be a sleepover!" Yui got excited and she was smiling brightly.

Y/n at least felt safe from Kou over here... even if she put her phone on 'Do Not Disturb' she knew that she had numerous missed calls and texts from Kou. She didn't feel like dealing with that for right now. She just wanted to forget everything that happened today and spend some time with someone who was at least somewhat normal.

Yui led her inside and showed her to her room and they both got changed into pajamas first since it was much more comfy that way.

Y/n still had lingering thoughts in the back of her mind about what had happened today but at least she was being distracted from it. That was all she could currently ask for.

Togo had ended up paying them a visit later and only briefly talked to them since apparently he had been called away by Kanato only a few short minutes after joining them.

Y/n wasn't too worried about that for now. She just wanted to focus on herself. Eventually the time began to slip away and both she and Yui eventually got tired.

"Wanna get some sleep?" Yui asked with a tired expression on her face as she reached for the lamp.

"Yeah, that sounds nice." Y/n settled into the silken sheets and she only briefly looked at her phone since she had about two dozen missed calls and forty texts. She just left it on the charger and the light turned off.

"Goodnight, Y/n!"

"Goodnight, Yui."
