" Donnie...." said a Voice. " Donnie...." Donnie stood in the dark upstairs of a Hallway he recognized, hearing his name being called out in a faint whisper. He slowly made his way down the stairs, his heart racing with fear and anticipation, only to find an older woman standing at the counter. He confronted the her, only to realize It was his Mother, who had passed away years ago in a car accident with his father.
" There's My Baby Boy" she smiled. Though his Lips trembled with joy, " Mom" tears streamed down his voice as he saw his mother again.
" What's wrong donnie?" She asked. He Shook
His head in disbelief looking downward, but then he turned his attention to back to his mother with a smile. the moment was bittersweet, as he cried with happiness and regret for not having her there all these years. " Everything's fine" He Said and hugged her. " Everything is Fine " He repeated. As he embraced his mother, He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see his father standing behind him. " Everything Ok son?" He realized with a rush of emotion, that both of his parents were here with him in this moment, after so much time had passed. It was a moment he would never forget, a moment of love and reconciliation. "Dad?" He hugged his father tightly, overwhelmed with emotion before turning to look at the both of them with a smile. It was as if time stood still, and they were together as a family again. " I Missed You Guys "
He felt a mix of emotions, but most of all he felt grateful to be seeing his parents again. He was trying to stay strong, but it was hard not to feel overwhelmed by the flood of memories and feelings." We've missed you too Son" his Dad Patted him on the back, and Donnie smiled at him as tears continued to stream down his face. Just then, the man In black strolled into the room with an extremely heavy presence that alerted Donnie. " No No No.." The Man In Black attacked him with a dose of red energy, and he braced himself just before he Wakes up in a hospital bed, drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. He feels confused and disoriented struggling to distinguish reality from a hazy dream of seeing his parents and being attacked. His heart is racing wondering if he's truly safe.
The Nurse rushes into the room, her uniform crisp and white, her eye sharp with concern as she checks on him. " Is Everything Okay?" She gently asks how he feels and assessing his vital signs. He looked around the sterile hospital room, feeling lost and disoriented, trying to shake off the lingering tendrils of the nightmare that still cling to his mind. " Where Am I?" He asked Her. " Your At St. Nelson's Hospital, You Were Injured Pretty badly Mr.Jace" she told him.
Her Eyebrows raise in concern as she looks at his completely healed wounds and cuts, Her fingers flipping through his charts with a furrowed brow, finding it hard to believe that anyone could heal so quickly In only a few hours. " Well WERE Injured, Your Wounds And Cuts Have already healed which is impossible" his eyes widened in concern as she mentions his wounds have already healed. He can't help but think about the brush of death he had only a few hours ago and how he's been reborn without a scratch or a wound on his body. " I'm already healed? How Long Have I Been out?" He stares at his hands in complete shock and wonder, the concern etched on his face as he examines his once injured hands, now fully healed as if nothing ever happened. " Not long Mr. Jace You've been Out For About a Few hours" Said The Nurse. " It Would have Taken Months for you to Completely Heal, I don't know How You Healed so Fast" she scribbled on her clipboard as she explained to him that his wounds would have normally taken months to complete. " I-I don't know either " he said. " Must Be Very..Lucky" he pays little attention to the nurse transfixed on the memory of his dream about his parents and the mysterious man in black. He questions to himself whether it was a gift or just a meaningless dream. He can't help but wonder why all of this was happening to him and if there is something much bigger at play than he ever realized. He starts to question his own sanity. " I Will Be Back In a Minute Mr.Jace, Just Try And Relax ok?" She left the room leaving him alone with his thoughts. " Relax?" He Repeated to himself. " Ok Ok Ok" He takes a deep breath repeating The same thing Repeatedly as he runs his hands through his short chiseled hair, trying to calm his nerves. He then lays back on the hospital bed and closes his eyes. As soon as he closes his eyes, exhaustion overtakes him and he falls into a deep sleep, not waking up till a few hours later to a muffled voice and is temporarily blinded by the light above him, struggling to adjust his eyes to the brightness. He blinks and adjusts to the light to realize that the muffled voices were his friend and sister who had come to see him. " Miss me already?" He spoke. " Whoo did you give us a scare" Ralph and Lily stand on each side of his hospital bed relieved that he is ok and expressing their happiness to see him. Lily gave him a warm and comforting hug relieved that he is safe. " Hey not to hard, I'm still in hurt" Donnie Joked to lily. " Donnie what the hell happened to you? Hours ago you were On Death Row" Lily said. " Was it the fist Striker? You went through with the article didn't you?" Ralph crossed his arms asking him what happened, wondering if the Fist Striker came after him.
" It wasn't her" Donnie sat up on the hospital bed, looking at Ralph and Lily, He sat there with overwhelmed emotions, his shoulders are slumped. The lines on his faces etched with worry, His Memories flash before his eyes like a series of quick snapshots. He remembers the fear that gripped him as he narrowly avoided death, and a sense of foreboding begins to stir within him as he realizes that danger may still lie ahead.
" There was this Guy, I didn't Catch his Face but he wore...this Black Mask with this black Coat, he attacked me" The memory of nearly dying not long ago lingers in his mind, like a dark cloud that refuses to disperse. He is suddenly struck with a sobering awareness of how fleeting life can be, and a deep sense of gratitude for every breath he is able to take. " I remember it was raining...It was dark, And I remember The Man in Black, He was gonna Kill me.." They both looked at him with deep concern and worry etched across their faces, sensing that something is amiss. They exchange worried glances, unsure of what to do or to say to make things better. " Did he Have a Name?" Said Ralph. Donnie shook his head at Ralph" It was Just The Man In Black" Lily turned to Ralph. " It wasn't Just Him" She turned back to Donnie. "There was this Other person...I don't know who It was, But Whoever it Was... Saved me from the Man In Black" He said. " Sounds Like You Have a Guardian Angel Watching Over You" Ralph reaches out and pats him on the back in a gesture of comfort and support. " Maybe So"
Donnie Looks and then at his boss, Austin who enters the room with his hands in his pockets. The atmosphere in the room changes as everyone waits with bated breath for their boss to speak.
The silence is broken as Donnie suddenly speaks up," Hey" he made his way into the room, approaching the hospital bed next to Ralph. He
shifts around so that Austin can stand next to Donnie, getting a closer look at him. " Judging By That Face, I can Tell your wondering How In the world Am I healed Already, I Don't Know" Said Donnie. " Nah Don't sweat it Donnie, All that matters Is Your Ok" Austin places a hand on the his shoulder, the weight of it heavy and comforting all at once. His other hand remains firmly in his pocket. " You really feel ok Donnie?"
She looks at him with concern etched on her face,
She worries about his well-being and longs to do something to help him, but she knows that all she can do is be there for him."Honestly I feel Fine, I Feel Like I can Go Home Now" Donnie told Lily.
Austin briefly glances at Lily before turning his attention back to the journalist. He knows that she is concerned for her brother, but his priority is to ensure that the reporter is up to the task at hand." Donnie after what You went through i'm gonna Need you to stay Home For a few Days Until I'm sure Your ready to Come back to work"
Donnie turns back to Austin, shocked by the fact that he does not want him to come back to work after the accident that happened a few hours ago.
He cannot believe his ears and wonders why his boss would not want him to continue working.
" But Austin I just Said I Feel Fine" Said Donnie.
" You will stay Home Until I'm sure your ready to come back to work" Austin repeats himself sternly, telling him that he needs to stay home until he is sure he can come back to work without risking further injury. "End Of Discussion"
Ralph Looked At Lily and realizes that this is a personal matter." We'll Give you two The room"
He suggests that they give the two some alone time to speak privately and figure things out.
Donnie and Austin exchange looks, neither of them seeing eye to eye with the other. Tensions are high as they try to find a solution to the problem at hand." Who Are You to tell me this? Your Not My Dad Austin, i Feel Fine Okay?" He takes a deep breath and speaks calmly, trying his best to control his anger and approach the situation rationally. Austin stands with his hands at his waist" Jesus Christ Donnie You Almost Died A Few Hours Ago, And I Told you to stay away from that article" He snapped at Donnie about the article he explicitly told him to stay away from. He looks away from Austin as he grows increasingly upset." I Saw Your Computer When I got to the office, Do you see what happens when you stick your Nose Into Business you shouldn't be in?" Donnie takes a deep breath and turns his attention back to Austin, silently willing himself to remain calm and professional.
" I'm not gonna Give up the article Austin, I'm Gonna Continue it Whether you like it or not, People Need To Stand Up Against They Very thing they Fear the Most" Austin looks at Donnie before abruptly walking out of the hospital room without saying a word, leaving him stunned sitting on his hospital bed. Donnie sat there for a long time, lost in thought. He couldn't help but wonder whether he was right or if his boss was right. Thinking back on their childhood, he realized that they had never seen eye to eye on anything. Lily knew that Donnie and Austin didn't always get along, but she also saw how much they cared for each other deep down. She often encouraged her brother to try to see things from his boss's point of view, even when it was difficult. She could tell that he never fully adjusted to his Austin being his new guardian, and that he still deeply missed his father.
Sometimes she would find him staring out the window, lost in thought, and she knew that he was thinking about the dad he had lost too soon.
He remembered how his sister Lily and Austin had connected over their shared love of football. They would spend hours watching games together, whereas he and his Austin had never found a common ground. He also recalled a huge argument with his boss that had led him to move out. it was over something trivial, but it had caused a rift between them that never fully healed. Lily knew that her brother would be alone after their parents passed away, so she made the decision to move in with him and take care of him. She wanted to make sure he had someone to lean on, even if it meant making many personal sacrifices. After that argument, Donnie and Austin weren't on speaking terms for a while. However, one day his boss reached out and they started talking again, slowly rebuilding their relationship. Eventually, he offered him a job and Donnie started working for him, realizing that they could put their differences aside. As He started working with Austin, he also met a co-worker who became a close friend. They bonded over their love of comic book movies and shows, and their friendship helped him through some tough times at work. Ralph was empathetic towards him, knowing what it was like to come from a hard point in life. His friend grew up only with the love and support of his mother, not knowing his father due to various reasons. He and Donnie both had that in common, which allowed them to empathize with each other on a deeper level and form a strong bond of friendship.
With The Man In Black
The area was a desolate wasteland, with decrepit walls coated in rust that threatened to give way if touched. The grated floors emitted a deafening sound with every stride, contributing to the eerie ambiance. Scattered throughout were the inventions of a bygone era, no longer functional and left to decay amongst the ruins. Suddenly, a man in black appeared amidst a spark of red energy, crackling all around him as he stepped forward. The man in black smoothly removed his coat, revealing a sleek and stylish suit beneath. He brought up a hologram of his target, scrutinizing every detail with a focused intensity.
" He's Still...Alive.." The man in black's voice croaked as he spoke, gritting his teeth in frustration as he realized he had failed in his mission to kill his target. With a fierce punch, he slammed his fist into the cement wall, but it barely left a scratch on his skin." I Promise You Mr.Jace... You Will Die.."
The Hospital
From the outside, the hospital loomed tall and imposing, its white walls gleaming in the bright sunlight. The rush of people moving in and out of the entrance made it clear that this was a place of both healing and heartbreak. Donnie lay On his hospital bed, He tossed and turned, his eyes closed and his brow furrowed in distress. As he drifted in and out of consciousness, he saw visions of the Man in black, a figure wreathed in red energy that never seemed to leave his side. With a whimper, the man grew more and more scared, his fingers twitching as if trying to grasp hold of something solid in his dreams. Suddenly, the red energy that had haunted Donnie in his dreams began to course through his veins, filling him with a strange power that he couldn't explain. With a fierce determination, he clenched his fists, Donnie's Hands hands continued to draw in energy, now a mix of the pulsing red and bright white, creating a unique aura that surrounded him as he slept. As Donnie opened his eyes, they were consumed by a mix of pure red and white cosmic energy, giving him unprecedented powers beyond his wildest imagination. His body trembled with the raw energy coursing through him, and he knew that he was no longer just an ordinary human.
With confidence and excitement, he burst out of the room, using his newfound speed to run all over the city at Mach 3, feeling the wind rushing past him as he blazed a trail of energy behind him. The people below looked up in awe, wondering what kind of superhuman could move so fast. The feeling of running through the city at Mach 3 was indescribable. The wind whistled in his ears, while the rumbling of the ground beneath his feet filled him with a sense of immense power. The wind against his face was exhilarating, and he felt like he was alive in a way that he had never been before. As he ran, he saw visions of the man in black, and then a vision of him hugging his parents and crying in tears. Suddenly, he snapped back to reality, crashing into a stack of hay and quickly recovered, throwing the hay off of himself. As he looked around, he realized he was at a ranch far from home. He looked around and saw nothing but cows, land, and a farm. He scratched his head curiously, wondering what had happened. He looked at his dirty hands and feet, pondering if he had just run several miles across the city only to end up on a farm. The ground was muddied, and the air was thick with the smell of cows. He couldn't believe what was happening. Turning his attention away from his hands and feet, he wondered if he had suddenly gained powers. Could he now move faster than anything? He asked himself. As he realized he had a long way to go to get home, he kept asking himself these questions, wondering if he could use his potential powers to make the journey shorter.
