Bottom Of The Barrel

In a cell Unconscious Laid an unconscious Lily Jace amidst the flickering red laser beams that criss cross around her confinement. The silence of the cell is eerie as if it's holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. She Jolted awake, disoriented and confused. She looked around taking in her surroundings quickly realizing that she is in a large room. Panic begins to set in as she tries to find a way out only to discover there are no doors or windows near her.
She could see that the place Was A run down area, the walls were a dirty silver,The floor were grated. No way Out, thought to herself. " Thinking of escaping?" She stirred and looked at Jessica with a mix of Relief and trepidation
Lily made her way Closer to Jessica's Cell careful not to touch the lasers as they hum ominously.
It Seemed that she had Been trying to escape but came up empty. " Don't Bother, The Red Edge Really Did a Good Job on these Cells" Jessica Turned to Lily. " There has to be someway out of here" Lily Told Jessica. " I Hate to break it to you Lily, But These Laser grid fences can only be turned off From the Console and I don't know how we can reach it unless we Can stretch our Limbs Mister Fantastic Style." She pointed to the Console Away from the Cells. Lily Saw it And Sighed realizing there Was no way they were gonna reach it. " Best bet, Wait For Donatello and Andrew to Come and save us" Jessica Told Her. The Sealed doors Soon Opened And entering came The red Edge. They both looked at him. He Focused his attention on them breathing heavy. " The Red Edge I'm Guessing?" Said Lily. " Indeed Ms. Kenan" he told her. Lily looked at Jessica Curiously, she Did the same and they both turned back to him. " Right, You Haven't reached That Point Yet" He Told Lily. " You Know Who We Are?" Jessica Said. " Indeed I do Miss Rae, I Know All Of You, I Know All About You, Who You Love, Who You're scared of, Who Your destined to be With" Said The Red Edge Holding his hands behind his back. " Who Are You under the mask?" Lily Said. " I am No One You Know Miss Jace, I Am Someone" He Approached the cells closer. " Who Has Lost everything" He Again formed his hands behind his back. "" So Why Come Back?" Said Jessica. " To Wipe Out His Legacy From Happening in the Future Miss Rae" He looked at her. " In The Future Your World Is OverRun By Many Many Heroes, Mr.Jace Was The One who Started Everything, It all began with him, Crime Began to rise, Wars Began, Loved ones Were taken" He Displayed a Picture Of a Newspaper Article Of West City In ruins, Heroes were at war, OutMan Was On The Front Cover With a fierce Look. The girls Were Taken By surprise to the article. The Article vanished. " You Said That We Ruined Your Life, How?" Lily Said. " The Civilization Grew to Love Their so called heroes" He turned his attention away from them. Quickly Lily knew he didn't. " And Why didn't you?" She said. " I lost My Family Because of Them" He told her. "I'm sorry to hear that" Jessica Said. " I Got Tired Of Everyone Losing Their loved ones To their mess, So I Created A Weapon Of My Own, One Capable To Eliminate SuperHumans, One That Would End The Age Of Heroes" He turned back to them. " When I thought I could Get Anyone On My Side To End Them, They all Shunned Me, They all Thought I was crazy, They all Wanted me to destroy what I created" He began to raise his voice. " I couldn't do that, Not when I thought I was Gonna save the world from anymore pain, So I Made More Of It, Then They Showed Up, Tried to bargain with me to Stop what I was doing, Only I refused, Then they Ruined Me" he clenched his fist beginning to build up Red energy. " They Destroyed My Life, My Work, And It was that Night, I thought I could restart What I started, But Something happened that night, I Became one of them, I Felt Their true power, What They could do" He began to laugh. " And I wanted More, So I continued My work, I continued For Months Until I learned I can do So much with these Gifts, I Discovered the Possibility of Time Traveling, I realized I could go Back in time And Erase How It all Started, Starting With Your Brother Donatello Whitmore Jace" He looked at Lily who Was Growing upset. " So Erase everything in the future starting with Donnie, Then what?" Jessica said. " My Inventions Will Save The World, I Will Create a A Edge Industries, I Will Be The Hero" He turned to Jessica. " Your No Hero" She said. " Your A Monster" She Told him. " My brother will stop you" she Said. He turned to her and Laughed ominously. " If Only I hadn't Destroyed His Hideout" he said. Instantly Jessica Sat Up. " you're Lying" Jessica Said. " Unfortunately miss Rae, Lying doesn't define me" He Displayed a Video from his wrist that Showed Donnie and Andrew escaping before the explosion Had set off. " You've been watching us this whole time?" Lily said curiously. " And In This Point In Time, I Have Been watching All Of You, And Still" He Chuckled. " You Have No Idea What's Coming For All Of You" The girls Looked at at him curiously. " And What Is Coming?" Jessica Asked. " No Need to Worry Ms. Rae, I Don't wanna Spoil The Surprise Now Do I?" He Began his way out of the room. " You Said everyone in the future Turned their back on you, I can See why" Jessica said, he Stopped " You were Jealous of Donnie being the hero" she commented. " I Will Be The Hero In The End" He Tilted his head toward her. They watched from afar as he exited the room.
Meanwhile
In an Apartment Donnie Paced Back and Forth rubbing his chin while Andrew Was slouched on his couch. Donnie's Mind had been shredded in darkness, As he continued to contemplate the many ways he could inflict pain on The Red Edge, His heart was beating with a cold and unforgiving desire for vengeance. Donnie will stop at nothing to see The red edge Fall to his knees. Victory hinged On his Willingness to push beyond his limits and he's willing to do whatever it takes to Save Lily and Jessica. " You Know Just when I think we can Actually Get Somewhere, The Red Edge Makes Our Odds Worse" Said Andrew. " All My Inventions I could have used, Flushed away! Gone!" He Wailed. The words coming out in a stream of consciousness.
Donnie paid no attention and to his Comment and continued thinking of what He was gonna do. No Luck came On His end of the bargain. He sighed and hung his head. His heart Heavy with despair and guilt as he struggles to come to terms with the loss of his Loved Ones. His fists clench and unclench as he replays his failure In his mind Over and over again. His mind Tormented by the thought of what he could have done differently. Despite his anguish, he remains determined find a way to restore what the red edge took and To protect his city. " Your thinking We can't stop him" Andrew observed his Defeated Posture and Sad demeanor of his companion. His heart overflowing with empathy and understanding as he reads the pain in his eyes. " He has My sister and Our friend, If I don't act Now, Something bad will happen I cannot afford to take that risk, Especially Not With my sister" He turned to Andrew who was seated on the couch. " We're Stop him Donnie, We'll Figure out a way, Together" Andrew stood up. Donnie's Shoulder slumped in relief as he let out a deep sigh. " I'm gonna Search the city for them, I'll Update you If Anything happens" He told him Just before He squares his shoulders and strides confidently towards The Closed door ready to Search for his sister and friend. Donnie's Mind Had become a Blur as he raced through The streets of West City. His body moving so fast that the air around him crackles with Energy. With every step he takes he feels the rush of the wind and the thumping of his heart as he accelerates faster and faster. He continued to move through the city with an uncharacteristic sense of anger fueling his steps, His thoughts consumed by a deep sense of injustice. His fists clench and unclench as he replays his Failure to save Austin, Lily and Jessica in his mind, His powers surging through him as longs to see The Red Edge Brought to account for what he's Done. Despite his conflicted Emotions, he remains Steadfast in his mission to Save those he loves.
He continued to Streak through the streets, his mind racing as he frantically searches for any signs of His Sister and Friend. Despite his best efforts he came up empty several times, his heart racing with fear and uncertainty. With each passing moment his desperation grows and he knows that only time will tell if he will ever find them. Soon the Sun dipped below the horizon and the world had been Transformed by the arrival of the night. Colors fade and shadows deepen, The air grows cooler, and the sounds of the day give way to a different kind of music. For Some the coming of darkness is a time of fear and uncertainty but for others it is a welcomed respite from the worries of the day. As the stars begin to twinkle in the sky, The night settles in ready to reveal it's secrets to those who are brave enough to explore its mysteries.  He came to a stop at a Mountaintop. Sweat poured from his brow and his breath coming in ragged gasps, despite efforts to keep going, his body eventually betrayed him, his chest heaving as he struggled to to catch his breath. With each passing moment His strength returns. He stood Tall once he recovered and Looked at his city. What a Beautiful City He thought to himself. Full of So many Great people, They were all Unaware of the True actions that had been happening. The people are just so caught up in their lives that they can't see the danger that lies beneath the surface. The city bustles with life and energy. There's a palpable tension in the air. It's As if everyone can sense that something is coming, But they don't know what. The Hero Within him was struggling with the tide of guilt and shame but he holds on with every shred of his being. Despite the Weight of his failure, He refuses to give up. His determination burns like a bright flame, thus illuminating his path forward. Though the road ahead may be long and treacherous, he knows he can find redemption if he only keeps moving forward. Donnie's heart pounded in his chest as he raced towards the cemetery, a raging maelstrom of red and white energy swirling around his body. Every muscle in his body was tensed, ready for lightning-fast movement and bursts of speed that left the ground quaking behind him. Bolts of lightning flickered from his fingertips, and a tingle of electricity crackled over his skin. As he approached a gravestone, the energy suddenly dissipated. Donnie slowly walked around the cemetery, his eyes scanning the names on the gravestones as he searched for the two he had come to see. Finally, he came to a stop in front of two graves, one marked "Mother" and the other
"Father'. Donnie looked down, his eyes closed as he stood in front of his parents' gravestone. He took a deep breath, trying to steady the emotions that threatened to rip him apart. He could feel the weight of their loss pressing down on him, but he refused to let it defeat him. "Hi Mom, hi Dad," Donnie said, his voice barely above a whisper. He paused for a moment, his hand reaching up to grab and pull off his mask, revealing tear-filled eves as he looked back at the gravestones. " miss you guys so much" he whispered, his heart heavy with grief. Donnie's gaze dropped down again, feeling like a failure as he spoke. "Lily's in danger," he said, his voice trembling with fear. "I'm scared I won't be able to save her from the Red Edge." He couldn't bear to think of what would happen if he failed, "I can't do it," Donnie said, his voice breaking as tears streamed down his cheeks. "I'm trying everything I can to protect Lily and everyone around me, but it's not enough." He looked down, crying as he sniffled, feeling helpless and overwhelmed by the weight of the burden on his shoulders. Donnie crouched down, crying as he placed his hand on his mother's grave, looking down in despair. He couldn't help but feel the weight of her absence, the hole in his heart that would never be filled. Donnie looked at his mother's name on the grave, Tessa Jace. "I'm afraid " he said, wiping away his tears with determination. "But I won't give up on Lily or anyone else around me" Donnie continued to cry, unable to stop the tears from coming as he looked at his mother's grave. "One day," Donnie whispered, smiling through his tears. "We'll all be a family again." He looked down at the grave, tears still streaming down his face. The pain may never fully go away, but he knew he had to keep moving forward. Donnie looked at his parents' graves, still crying. "I love you both so much." he whispered. "And I always will." He stood up, still looking at their graves, sniffing and wiping away his tears. Donnie stood at his parents' graves, taking a deep breath. "I won't let The Red Edge hurt Lily," he said firmly. "I promise." He knew his parents would be proud of him for standing up to protect those he cared about. Donnie pulled his mask back over his face and took one last look at his parents' graves. He knew that he had to continue fighting and protecting those in need, just like his parents did before him. Donnie stood a foot away from his parents' graves, smiling as the mix of red and white energy built up within him. With a burst of speed, he shot out of the cemetery, leaving behind the Graves of his beloved parents.
