Hours Later Donnie Stood Outside of His Balcony. The Heavy Rain poured down on the city like the heavens have opened up and released a deluge of water upon the earth. The sound is deafening as each drop hits the pavement with a loud splat creating a symphony of raindrops that that echoes through the streets. The Wind gusts and whips as umbrellas and coats, turning them inside out and forcing people to scurry for cover.
The city itself seems to disappear in the gray midst of rain, leaving behind the sounds and smell of a Storm. He feels as if he had just lost a part of himself, as if a hole had been opened in his soul. He can't shake the feeling that he's cursed, destined to suffer loss and pain for the rest of his days. Every Breath is a struggle, every step is a burden as he navigates a world that suddenly seems darker and colder without his father's Love and Guidance. He stood there lost and hopeless, unsure of what he was gonna do next. His mind racing as he tries to sift through the chaos of his thoughts. It's as if all of the colors had drained from his world, leaving behind only the gray shadows of uncertainty and fear. But deep down he knows he must keep moving forward even if every step feels like he's walking through quicksand. He wonders if he's truly cut out to be a hero, if he can live up to the expectations of the world. But even as he hesitates he knows in his heart he can never truly walk away from the call to be something More.
They lost they're parents Years ago, And Today Another life was taken at the hands of A man with a vendetta Against Him. For what? Why Did he take his life? Donnie would have given his life Instead For Austin to Live. His Heart aches with regret as he remembers the argument he had with his father, the weight of his unspoken apologies On his soul. He wonders if things could have been different if they had just talked it out, if only he had been brave enough to say the words he needed to say. But Now it's too late and all he can do is live with carry the weight of his regret with him, a constant reminder of the missed opportunity. The Painful knowledge that he had never got to apologize and Say that he loved him had weighed on him. He felt like the worst son ever knowing that he missed the chance to make things right and tell his father how much he truly cared for him. The weight of his regret is a Constant reminder if the importance of repairing relationships before it's too late. He was overwhelmed with an intense surge of energy coursing through his hands, a feeling of power and chaos threatening to consume him. He struggles to control the energy, his mind racing as he tries to keep it from spiraling out of control. The emotion running through him is raw. Though he is unsure of how to harness his power, he refuses to give it up and is driven to find a way to channel it towards a greater purpose. The potential for this energy and what he can do with it is both thrilling and terrifying. He stood on his balcony, centered and trying to focus his energy. Ralph stood at the door behind him, awestruck by what he had been witnessing. " You Know how to control that right?" Said Ralph. Donnie took a deep breath, his eyes flicking briefly with a bright energy before he calmly shuts it down. " I'm guessing you can" Ralph Told him And Stood beside him on the balcony. " I should have been there to protect him, I should have Been there to stop The Red Edge" he peered over the edge of his balcony taking the view before him. " Don't do this to yourself Donnie, This is what he wants, He wants you to Lose it, If That happens This world will turn on you, You cannot give that to him" Said Ralph. " Then what am I supposed to do Ralph? He Killed Austin! How Long Before he Kills anyone else? I won't let another person I love die when I can prevent it, All I have to do is beat him" Donnie turned to Ralph. " How? How Are you gonna beat Someone who's from the future? Not only is he from the future but He knows Every outcome That's gonna happen" Ralph Told Him. " I don't care Ralph! I don't Care" he shouted. " I Lost my parents years ago In that car accident, And Now I lose Another one to Someone who has a grudge against me Because of something that happened in the future, Over something That Doesn't Happen For Years To Come Ralph" Said Donnie. " I'm not gonna sit around and Wait for Him to make his move" Donnie left his balcony and stormed into his living room, a storm of emotions brewing within him as he thinks about the red Edge who Killed Austin" Donnie where are you going?" Ralph followed him." Donnie!" He Turned him around once they entered the living room. " What the hell do you think your gonna do when you find him? You can't win this Fight Donnie, Especially Not when Your this pissed off, You need to calm down" Said Ralph. " And you need to get out of my way Ralph" Donnie told him Sternly. " Donnie, You need to Calm down, Your only gonna get yourself killed" Ralph told him. " And If You die, Then that's on us, What am I gonna tell Lily when her brother doesn't come back? How am I gonna look her in the eyes And tell her that her brother isn't coming home?"
Donnie Said nothing realizing he may be right, But Was it enough to change his mind? Not 100.
" I will Come Home, I Always Will Ralph" He told him. " And What if You Don't?" Ralph Said. They both stayed quiet. " That's What I thought" Said Ralph. " This whole Superhero thing was a mistake" He looked away from Donnie and Left the apartment. Donnie watched as he stormed out In anger, feeling a sense he of unease settle over him. He stood motionless in his living room, lost in thought as rain poured down on his city. With a deep sense of uncertainty, he contemplated his next move Unaware of the Police siren blaring in the distance. He raced through the rain soaked streets of west city determined to help the cops pursue a getaway vehicle. As he runs, he seethes with anger and frustration. Despite his Emotions running high, he remained focused on his mission to bring the criminal to justice. He Rushed forward And Created a Barrier That caused the driver to turn Left, The cops continued to follow him on pursuit. Once again Donnie created another barrier that caused him this time to go Right. He went right as well as the cops. Eventually The Driver Came To a stop when He Was brought To A barricade surrounded by the police. The officers following him soon Blocked him in. He had no escape. Donnie Rushed and skidded Near the front of the car. He stood tall with the officers as they arrested the criminal, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over him. As he prepares to leave, he hears a strange noise coming from the distance, causing him to instantly shift into high alert. The officers tensed up closely listening for any signs of danger. " What is that?" Said An officer. "Get To Safety, Now" He told the Officer Just before A red Ball of light Zoomed Past him And the officers. Quickly he charged After it at breakneck speed in pursuit of the red edge.
The two ran through every street In the city. He wasn't gonna let him go, He had him right where he wanted him. He felt confident as he tried to catch him, However his feeling of triumph is short lived as he realizes that he's been chasing a mere clone. " No!" Stopping in the middle of a road, " Damn It!" he curses himself for falling for a ruse. He raced away from the scene, heart pounding as he comes into a garage that's been completely upturned. His Heart jumps when he spots Andrew Amidst the rubble, quickly he rushed to help him. " Andrew?" He moved pieces of rubble with a calm and steady hand, helping Andrew to safety. Andrew began to cough, Donnie Helped him up to his feet. " What happened here?" Donnie threw his arm over his shoulder and Carried him to a chair to sit him down. " The Red Edge" Andrew winced in pain, keeping his hand placed on his rib cage taking deep and labored breaths. Despite the pain, he remains tough and resilient refusing to let his injury keep him down. " He Was here" he looked at him. "Lily" He realized and Rushed all over the entire Place. Unable to find her He rushed back to Andrew. " He Took Lily And Jessica" He told him. Donnie's Eyes widened in shock And fear. He turned away, His hands indistinctly fly to his head as he tries to hold it together and process the information. His Mind races with worry and concern for their safety but he remains to do everything in his power to bring them back home. Lightning clapped in the background. Andrew gritted his teeth as he tried to stand, his movements slow and pained from his injured rib cage. Despite the pain, he refuses to let it show on his face and uses all of his strength to push himself upright, determined to keep moving.
" We Have to Get them Back" He told Donnie. He turned to Andrew taking his hands off of his head." Without a Plan? We Can't just go in Guns Blazing, Did You forget he's from the Future? He knows every move we're going to make, Every decision we're going to make, Not to mention I can't even keep up with him"
" Donnie Right now we have no choice, He Has My Friend and Your sister, If we don't Do Something He Will kill the both of them" Andrew Walked over to a Table that Was Broken In Two. " I don't care if the red Edge Is from the future, I don't care if he knows What's Been written for the future, What I do Care about Is In My Future, We Stop Him And Save Jessica and Lily" He Said. " So We go in with No plan?" Donnie looked at him curiously. " Might As Well" He chuckled. " Ah what the hell If it comes to the end of the world, At Least Front Row seats are free" Donnie Commented. " The End Is Coming Mr.Jace"
The Two Jump, Taken by the sudden intrusion of a voice. Their eyes Dart nervously around the room, unsure of where the voice might be coming from or what it might mean for their situation.
Instantly they knew it was the Red Edge, But where was he? " If Your Smart You'll Leave And Go Back To wherever you're from" Said Donnie. They slowly turned in a circle, scanning the room for any signs of movement or danger. Their hearts Race with adrenaline as they wait for the next shoe to drop, Unsure of what to expect next.
" You Took My Sister, My Friend, My Father, That Was a grave mistake, and the last one you'll ever make" Donnie's voice grew louder and more forceful as he looked around the room, making sure Red Edge heard. "Everyone you love in the future made a grave mistake when they casted me out, destroyed what I built, destroyed my life!" the Red Edge shouted. "For years l've been thinking of ways to get back at all of them, and I thought to myself How can I ruin the lives of the people you love the most? How can I torture them? How can I make them suffer? I had to look as far back as I could, and I got my answer."
He let out a sinister laugh. The Red Edge's grin only widened as he explained his answer to Donnie's curiosity. "You, Mr. Jace, were the
answer to my problem," he said. "Because if I went back in time and killed you, everyone you love..." The Red Edge's voice grew colder as he continued his chilling explanation. " will be erased from existence," he said. Andrew looked at Donnie and then away, his face clouded with fear and despair. Donnie's eyes blazed with determination as he spoke. "Wherever you are, i'm gonna find you and I swear I'm gonna stop you," Donnie told The Red Edge. "Good luck trying to find me," The Red Edge replied
"It'll be hard to do that when you have nothing to use, The Red Edge said, his voice laced with contempt. Suddenly, their attentions were brought to a noise that started to beep rapidly. Instantly, they knew what it was. As the deafening sound of the explosion echoed through the air, Donnie pulled Andrew close, shielding him from the flying debris and heat. Flames erupted everywhere, turning the garage into a blazing inferno. With a focused look on his face, Donnie concentrated, and time slowed down to a crawl, giving them a chance to escape. With time slowed down, Donnie moved in slow motion, retreating backwards as flames inched closer and closer. The heat was intense, With urgency, Donnie grabbed Andrew tightly and they ran at full speed away from the garage that soon exploded behind them. Donnie held on to Andrew tightly and rushed him further away, making sure they were clear from any danger, until they came to a clear area. Donnie and Andrew turned back to look at the explosion, now clearing up, revealing a blackened crater where the garage once stood. Donnie shook his head in frustration, realizing that they had lost their lead on the red edge. He let out a sigh of anger, determined to find another way to track it down.
"I don't suppose you have another headquarters we could use?" Andrew asked. Donnie turned to him and shook his head. Without hesitation, Andrew grabbed onto Donnie and in an instant, they disappeared from the streets, finding refuge elsewhere.
