"hello, can I meet lily" the guy on the counter gave me a little weird look and shouts "lily, someone's here for you"
The cafe is busy, many couples enjoying their coffee, some of them working. The ambience is very cosy and comfortable. I see a girl coming out from the kitchen and serving pasta, it looks tempting.
"Oh hey, Ryle.. I am right?" Lily arrives
"Yeah, I actually wanted to ask for a favour"
" Yeah sure how can I help you?"
I take her near the table where my sister and her husband are seated, enjoying the pizza.
" Allysa, this is lily, owner of the cafe"
"Lily that's my sister Allysa, and her husband Marshall"
"Hi"
Allysa while having a bite asks lily "Lily I would like to work here, I just want to keep myself busy, I can cook and serve orders too"Lily's face lights up listening to this.
Allysa doesn't need much money of course Marshal earns very much more than enough but Allysa loves working." I am thinking about opening a flower shop, near the down street, would you like to work with me on that?, I mean you can manage the shop all by yourself, would you like to?"
"Yes for sure" Allysa is happy that makes me and Marshal happy too.
" Great, meet me after 2 days with designs ready I hope we'd be a great team, I actually need to go there. Nice meeting you guys" lily rushes towards the counter, taking orders.
Allysa and Marshal finish the food and leave for home.
I sit back and watch lily managing everything perfectly. She knows where the order should go, every 20 mins she goes in the kitchen and comes out with a cup of coffee.
After the busy hours are over she sits near the table and starts a conversation." Can I ask you something personal?"
" Yeah go ahead"
" Why does Allysa need to keep herself busy?"
" She recently had a miscarriage, it always makes her sad thinking about that."
" So sorry to hear, I am happy to have her at the flower shop"
