As I sit here for my photoshoot, I can't help but to focus on my birthday vacation coming up this weekend. Since I was thirteen I've been working my ass off without a break and finally I get a whole weekend to do so.
I'll be turning twenty in two days and yet I feel like I'm actually thirty. I guess that's because my walking dead character is supposed to be in her thirties, I originally auditioned for the role of Ericka Lopez but that went to someone else so instead I'm her stunt/ body double.
"Ok that's a wrap!" The photographer yells and I can't help but feel giddy inside as my vacation officially starts.
"You excited for your birthday?" My costar Jon Bernthal asks
"Yes, granted I know I won't be able to do much but I'm excited to go to Vegas." I say as I pack up my bag
"You ever been?" He asks as he smiles
"Nope, I'm excited to check out the city of course but I'm more excited to see my cousin since she lives there." I say zipping up my bag as he helps me up from the floor
"Just remember one thing." He says waving his pointer finger at me
"And what's that?" I say flashing him a smile
"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." He says giving me a hug then walking off
"You takin off already B?" My other co-star (who I have a crush on) Norman Reedus asks
"Uh... yeah.. just waiting for my ride but they'll be here in forty five minutes or so." I say nervously
"Come on, I'll take ya. Don't worry I have my truck, my bike is in the shop." He says picking up my bags without giving me a chance to answer and putting them in the bed of the truck.
"Well alright I guess, let me cancel my Uber." I say as I take my phone out to do so
The whole ride was awkward for me. I'm in the passenger side of my crushes ride. Granted I know nothing will happen especially since he is literally one year older than my mom and his son is the same age as my middle sister but ugh he's so gorgeous.
"Whatcha thinkin' bout?" he asks glancing over at me
"Nothing, just wondering what it's like in Vegas." I say covering up the fact that I'm thinking about him
My crush on Norman actually started out with a crush on Jon first but thanks to my other co-star Sarah Wayne Callies, she informed me that Jon was engaged so I immediately backed off.
People say I have daddy issues and yeah that may be true but that is literally not my fault, it's my absentee father's fault. I can't help that I'm attracted to older men, they are so much more interesting than boys my age. When I saw Norman shirtless for the first time on set when Herschel is stitching Daryl up after he fell off the horse and his arrow went through his torso, my crush on Norman developed but again nothing will ever happen, he's just a friend.
