𝒟ℴ𝓃'𝓉 𝒢ℴ ( Hopeful ending )

Chelsea's pov:

I raised my gun and listened closely to any noise in the thick flower field as it was dark until the lightning illuminated the field. That's when I spotted her and shot in her direction but she quickly disappeared again. I could feel my heartbeat quicken every second and with another flash of lightning I saw her running toward me. She tackles me to the ground and started to slash at me but I shoved her off and shot another fire but the gun clicked, luckily I found an ammo clip that the officer was carrying and I was about to put it in until it was knocked out of my hand by Rose.

Rose: You should've stayed away when you had the chance.

I slowly backed away as Rose was sharpening her knives and eyeing me like a predator about to strike its prey.

Rose: Now die!

She then charged at me and was about to stab me until Y/n shoved me out of the way and was stabbed instead. Both I and Rose were shocked.

Chelsea: Y/n!

Rose: why would you do this Y/n?

She started to cry which gave me enough time to grab the gun on the floor and put the clip in. Rose then looked at my rage and hatred.

Rose: Damn you!

She then yanked her knives out of Y/n's stomach and charged at me but I had my gun pointing at her head and with a single pull of the trigger. Silence soon then followed as Rose fell to the ground with a fresh bloodied bullet through her left eye. I dropped the gun and ran to Y/n laying on the ground.

Chelsea: Y/n!

He was grabbing his severely injured abdomen while breathing heavily.

Y/n: Chelsea... you did it...

Chelsea: oh my God Y/n why?

I then sat on the floor and pulled him close to me.

Chelsea: don't worry! you're gonna be ok Y/n! I'm calling for help.

I then picked up my phone and called 911 to send an ambulance.

Y/n: Chelsea...

Chelsea: Don't worry just hang in there!

Y/n: Chelsea... I'm not gonna make it. I'm severely bleeding...

Chelsea: please Y/n! Don't say that!

I started to have tears in my eyes and y/n smiled as he cups the side of my face with his hand.

Chelsea: Y/n? Why are you smiling? Aren't you worried?

Y/n: I'm just happy that I get to see you for one final time; That's all. And not scared to die because I'm not alone.

He then holds my hand and with each passing second, a tear drop from my eyes and lands on his bloodied shirt.

Y/n: life's been a blast with you ever since we met and I'm thankful for it.

He then leans in closer and kisses me on the lips before collapsing back onto my lap.

Chelsea: please Y/n... Don't go...Y/n?....Y/n?!

His eyes were closed as if he died peacefully and his lips were curled in a soft smile. I felt hollow but somehow felt reassured that I was there for him at that moment. I could hear the sirens and see the light's approaching through the trees. I then wrapped my arms around Y/n and begin to weep; Never wanting to let him go...

10 years later:

The sounds of light rain hitting the ground and people chatting in the park behind me as I was sitting on a bench and waiting for the next bus stop. I breathed in the fresh cold air and smelled the earthy scent the rain was producing. I then see a couple walking by and enjoying themselves and couldn't help but smile to see how happy they are together. Soon enough the city bus came by and I entered and sat next to the window as it took off. I watched the gentle rain hit the window and slowly stream down. After a while, I finally made it to my destination which was a cemetery. The bus then took off and leaving me all alone. I then slowly walked through and passed every gravestone until I came to the one I was looking for.

Chelsea: it's nice to see you again dude.

I then knelt next to Y/n's gravestone as if I was sitting next to him.

Chelsea: Just wanted to let you know that I've been doing alright, But I miss you dude; I always have. After you were gone, I didn't know what to do. I felt empty and wanted to join you. But I remember how you saved me from that monster which made me realize that you wanted me to live.

I then started to tear up a little bit.

Chelsea: I knew you wanted me to live my life fully and so I am. But if I could have any wish in the world, It be that you were here with me and we both can live our lives together. Sure life is not full of happy endings but it's full of reassurances. I know one of these days, my time will be up but it will start a new one with you once I meet you again up in those clouds in the sky.

I then look up to see the bright beautiful clouds with the sun's rays appearing through and casting its light onto them and the rain washing away what tears I had left in my eyes.

Chelsea: I'll stay with you for a little bit before I have to go.

I then stayed there and reminisced all the memories I had with Y/n and I couldn't help but smile at how happy him and I were. I then stood up and before I left, I looked at Y/n's gravestone for one more time.

Chelsea: I love you and see you soon.

I then left the cemetery and spotted a cab. I signal it down as it stopped close to me. I got in and told the taxi driver to drive me back to my home. Soon I made it and I opened my door with my keys and shut the door behind me. I then walked to my bedroom and laid on my comfortable bed. I then reached next to me the jester clown plushie I gave Y/n a long time ago. I looked at it with fond memories of him before I started hugging it and pretending he was there.

Chelsea: I'm sorry Y/n...

I started to cry again as I held the plushie closer to me in my arms and not wanting to let go.
