[UNEDITED]
A/N: thank you so much for 2k reads!! and also for the kind comments I've gotten so far<3 It means so so much 🫶"Two bags of popcorn and coke, please."
Octavius placed a few dollars on the counter for the worker to take. The smell of buttered popcorn filled the air.
The walls were adorned with movie posters, advertisements, and information about upcoming releases.
People walked towards the exit as they chatted about a specific movie they have just seen.
The sound of their footsteps was muffled by the carpeted floor.Octavius' money was taken by the employee and it disappeared in the cash register.
"Salted or caramel?"
Octavius turned to his friend as he waited to hear his opinion on their decision.
His friend—Jedediah—glanced over to Octavius, then back to the worker.
"Salted."
Octavius looked at him, confused.
"Caramel," he interfered. In return, Jedediah shot his friend a glare, but his gaze turned back to the employee right after.
"Both," Jedediah said, setting the small debate between them quickly to an end.
The employee scoffed.
Two bags of popcorn were placed on the counter, but the pair wasn't satisfied with that yet.
The man behind the counter just watched both of them with confusion.
"The coke?" Octavius carefully addressed.
The worker clicked his tongue in annoyance and turned around to give them what they asked for.
As the coke was set on the counter for them to take, Octavius quietly thanked the man, with which he just ignored.
And with the snacks and drinks in their arms, they stepped ahead to search for the movie they were set on watching: "The Beginning".
"He was all annoyed with us," Octavius spoke up, referring to the employee from before.
Jedediah chuckled at that, "yeah, who wouldn't be when you meet someone who'd rather have caramel popcorn."
Octavius didn't find his comment funny.
In fact, you could say he was even offended by it.
He glared at his friend as he munched on his popcorn."Says the one who took salted," he mumbled with a full mouth.
Jedediah glanced over to his friend, only to laugh.
"Yeah, yeah. Salted is just for the cool one's, friend."
It took them what felt like fifteen minutes to find their way to their movie.
They wandered around the same halls and corridors, over and over again.Jedediah cursed under his breath as he told Octavius that they have passed that same trash bin like seven times already.
And Octavius, on the other hand, was convinced that his friend was clearly wrong. They were just about to give up as they turned around a corner and the sign of the room seemed to match the one on the ticket.
"Come on!" Octavius called as he pulled his friend by his wrist, "we're going to miss the ads!"
"Ain't that a good thing?"
"No!" Octavius complained, "I want to watch them. Now come on, we're late."
