"Rick? Rick you with me?" Daryl waves his hand in front of Ricks face. He's sitting on the concrete, zoned out. Hershel looks at Maggie. "Let me see the baby."
She walks over to him.
Beth looks at the others. "Do we have anything to feed her?"
Daryl shakes his head.
"The good news is, she's healthy. But she needs formula or she won't survive." Hershel says.
"No way. Not her. We ain't losing anyone else. I'm going on a run." Daryl says tossing his crossbow over his shoulder.
Glenn nods. "I'll back you up."
Y/N stands shakily. "I'll go too."
Maggie hands the baby to Beth. "Count me in."
Daryl nods. He turns to Beth. "Hey. Kid just lost his mom. His dad ain't doing too hot." He says referring to Carl who stands silently.
Beth nods. "I'll keep an eye on him."
He points at Archer. "Get the fence. Too many pile up and we'll have a problem."
He turns back to the three who volunteered. "Let's go."
They follow him to one of the cars, trying to figure out where to go.
"There's a Piggly Wiggly on 85." Glenn offers.
Y/N shakes her head. "Baby sections been cleared." They look at her with confusion.
"Lori asked me to keep an eye out. Haven't had much luck."
Daryl sighs. "Is there any place that hasn't been completely looted?"
Maggie thinks. "We saw signs for a shopping center just north of here."
Y/N shakes her head, a pounding headache taking over. "Yeah, but there's too much debris on the road. We can't get a car through that."
Daryl points at his bike. "I can take one of you."
Y/N nods. "I'll go."
Glenn gently grabs her arm. "No, Y/N. After everything you've been through..."
Maggie nods but Y/N shakes her head. "I want to go. For Lori. I have to."
Glenn sighs and nods. "Okay. Be safe. I love you."
She nods and hugs him quickly. "I will. I love you too."
She waves at Maggie and climbs on the back of Daryl's motorcycle. Her sword is safely on her back. Her headache is painful but she knows that she has to do this.
She holds on tight as Daryl drives out the gate and down the debris filled roads.

They arrive at the department store and Daryl knocks on the window. There's no noise inside so they enter. They split up to search the store. Y/N turns down one of the back aisles and stops in her tracks.
There's a woman walker laying face up on the ground. Her jaw snaps slowly as she catches sight of Y/N.
Y/N can do nothing but stare as the walker tries to move. She can't because her guts are hanging out and dried brown blood surrounds her.
Daryl turns the corner to find Y/N staring. He puts an arrow in her head. Y/N feels a tear slide down her cheek.
"Hey. You okay?" He asks.
Y/N shakes her head and another tear falls. "I couldn't do anything. She made me cut the baby out. She knew she was gonna die." Her voice breaks and she pauses.
"I had to slice open her stomach. I didn't know what to do. I could've killed the baby. I could've-"
Daryl cuts her off by gently hugging her. She's taken aback because Daryl isn't a hugger. He's not even much of a talker. She lets her tears fall as she hugs him back.
Daryl pulls away, obviously a little uncomfortable by the hug but she can tell that he meant it. "You did what you had to do. The baby is alive because of you."
"But Lori-"
"Lori knew she wouldn't survive. She made a choice."
Y/N nods, wiping her tears. "How did this happen?"
He sighs and mumbles. "That other asshole prisoner. Andrew. He screwed us over."
She grinds her teeth together. "What about T?"
Daryl just shakes his head.
She sighs. She saw him get bit. She knew it was only a matter of time. He was like a brother to her.
She thinks of Bellamy. Her actual brother. It's been so long since she saw him or her parents. She's lost hope. Hope died a long time ago. She wipes away the rest of her tears and sighs.
"Find anything?"
He nods holding up a container of formula.
"Let's go. It'll be dark soon."
As they're leaving, she finds a half-full bottle of aspirin. She grabs it and shoves it in her bag.
They get back on his motorcycle and drive back to the prison.

When they get back, they enter the cells where the remaining members of the group sit around. Beth is holding the crying baby.Daryl hands the formula to Maggie and walks up to Beth. "How's she doing?"
Beth shrugs. Daryl gently picks her up and holds her. She stops crying and wiggles a little. Daryl smiles. "She got a name yet?"
"Not yet. But I was thinking maybe Sofia. Then there's Carol, too. And... Andrea. Amy. Jacqui. Patricia. Or... Lori. I don't know." Carl says.
Daryl nods and lets the baby naw on his finger. He huffs out a laugh. "You like that? Little ass-kicker." He looks up. "Right? That's a good name. Little ass-kicker."
Everyone smiles a little.
Y/N nods. "It's perfect."
————————————————————————
Y/N sits in her cell alone. She found out that Rick is in the catacombs, processing everything. Carol is still missing. Her headache has only gotten worse. She grabs her bag and pulls out the bottle of aspirin she found earlier. She opens the bottle and sighs.
She grabs two and pops them in her mouth, swallowing them down with a small sip of her water.
She coughs when they're down. She closes the bottle and quickly shoves it back in her pack once she hears footsteps.
She sets her bag back down and Archer knocks on the outside of the cell. "Can I come in?"
She nods. He comes inside and sits next to her. "How are you doing?"
Y/N shrugs. "I don't know, honestly."
He sighs. "Yeah... it's rough. I'm sorry you had to go through that alone."
She nods. She fights the urge to cry again. She's already cried too much today. "I just can't believe they're all gone."
"I know..."
"The day started out so happy. I was starting to think that this would be our home. Hershel was walking. Everyone was content. Now two more of our people are dead. Probably three."
He nods again, saying nothing.
"We've already lost so much. I don't want to lose anyone else."
He pulls her in for a hug. After a moment, he stands. "I'll leave so you can rest. We're gonna be okay."
