Ben called me shortly after I'd gotten home, apologizing for how Haven had acted during dinner. He then explained the girls had been in rotten moods because they'd received letters from their mother apologizing for leaving them, but adding she had no desire to build a relationship with them, I understood how that would upset them.
"Please tell me you're okay." Ben said quietly into the phone.
"I'm fine." I told him. "I was hurt but I'm fine now."
"Good." He said happily. "I guess we'll have to cut down our time together."
"Your daughters are used to being with you 24/7, this is odd for them." I explained. "We'll have to figure out ways to get together without taking time from the girls."
"So when they're at school and go out with their friends?" He laughed a little.
"Yeah. When I'm not at work." I smiled. "So little breakfast dates, or lunch dates."
"Alright, sounds good to me. I should probably go now though, I have a lot of cleaning to do." He sighed. "Both girls went to bed."
"Alright, call me if you need anything. I'll talk to you soon." I smiled, pulling the phone away ready to hang up.
"I love you, Anastasia." Ben's voice came through the phone.
I felt my heart stop and my stomach flip joyfully, how long had I waited for him to say that? "I love you too, Ben." I said, before hanging up.

I laid down, listening to Emily list off all the guys she'd gone on dates with in the past couple weeks, all of which were horrible. For example, this guy Mason who worked as a bartender at the bar down the street from her work, had taken her to a shooting range and then out for a barbecue at his best friends place where she was the only female and got to listen to extremely inappropriate jokes being made about her. The date was horrible, especially since Emily didn't eat meat and didn't like guns.
"So, I've decided I'm probably going to be single forever." She sighed. "Oh, Erin's not coming tonight."
"It's New Year's Eve." I stated. "Why isn't she coming?"
"That Jon guy wasn't interested and told her he'd prefer to just be friends... So she's avoiding all of them." Emily sighed. "I guess she's not talking to you?"
"She hasn't returned my calls... And the clinics closed for the holidays." I sighed. "It's not my fault my boyfriends bandmates didn't want to go out with her."
"I don't know." Emily shrugged. "She'll come around."
"Ugh..." I groaned grabbing my stomach.
"You okay?" Emily raised an eyebrow at me.
"Just feel sick to my stomach." I sighed.
"Well, let's hope you're not pregnant." Emily laughed. "That would be a disaster."
At the mention of the word pregnant my mind went racing. I couldn't be, could I? I was covered I had the shot... When was the last time I did that? We were safe though... When was my last period.... I couldn't be. I pushed the thoughts out of my mind, you're just feeling gross because of all the stress.
A/N: well, I've rewritten this like 17 times but here we go. I'm finally happy with the outcome, I decided I didn't want her and Ben to split up. What do you guys think should happen? Comment & vote! I love you all. xx Jess.
