As Tianna stands there in the hallway waiting for his response, she sort of looked downward for what felt like hours. Her mind was racing because although they never discussed it she assumed Johnny was the father. But when she looks back up, she sees Alex has a huge smile on his face and he tells her that Terri Joe was asleep due to the pain and medicine that she is on so they haven't had a chance to name either of their twins yet but he is thankful that Terri Joe seems to be recovering since he gave her some of his own blood while she was asleep. Meanwhile, Jessica is downstairs fighting a low level demon who possessed a human because the human sold their soul to that demon and that demon requires flesh to survive. It throws her in to some metal table which knocked a metal tray on the ground, she kicks it in the stomach, it bites her shoulder; she grabs it's neck and stabs it with a scaple from a nearby table. It slams her head in to the concrete wall. She uses her nails to rip a hole in to it's stomach. Finally, it's dying, but she's now covered in rotten blood. It stinks and she can't breathe, so she runs outside where she sees Jason Stackhouse who's leaving the ER after having a recent bar fight. He's walking towards his pickup truck.  Meanwhile, on the 2nd floor in the maternity ward, Tianna tells Alex she needs to go check on her mom who has dementia and leaves. She doesn't know it but Alex could hear her relases a big gulp of breath once she got down the hall. As she is driving away, she starts having a flashback to when she and Terri Joe
were little girls they were playing with their dolls and telling each other about their future plans for Tianna she really wanted to be a wife and a mom Terri wanted the same but another flashback begins it shows Terri Joe is popular in high school while Tara is kind of treated like an outsider by everyone except for Terri and her cousin Lafayette. Tianna is seen in the backs of cars, alleyways, underneath bleachers, and behind grocery stores making out with popular boys who would never show her off to their friends or to their parents meanwhile the her peers treat her like she's less than nothing.
She remembers that on prom night Terri Joe got asked out on a date by one of the most popular boys in school, but she turned him down because she wanted to stay and dance with Tianna as a friend. As she's crying about never being able to find true love or get basic respect from her peers
She comes back to the current moment and realizes that she's about to hit a deer so she swerved over and slams into a bush. Thinking her life can't get any worse the sheriff Bud pulls up behind her and starts questioning whether she has been drinking or not. She agrees
to a breathalyzer, but he still pats her down and squeezes her butt. She's full of anger, sadness, and disgust. She punches him in his jaw and he falls backwards, bleeding from his mouth. He reaches for his gun in its holster and squeezes it when all of a sudden Sam Merlot stepped out of the woods and asks what is going on. The sherif releases his grip on his gun and begins chatting and laughing with Sam about how "feisty" Tianna is. Sam tells him that Tianna is a bartender at his bar and that she's that way with customers as well. As they converse Tianna says "If yall wanna have a good ole boys meeting go ahead but I'm going home" then she walks back in to town.  Meanwhile, Pam is trying to keep detective Andy from investigating Fantasia. She's angry at Alex for not being there to guide her and trying to keep Sarah from killing more innocent people. Jessica Hamby can't find Johnny Compton anywhere, but she persists through her search. She finds out that Nathan has a past in Bon Temps when she stumbles across a newspaper article from
the 1900s which had his marriage certificate, record of military enlistment, and a death certificate.
After seeing that, she tries to find out
Through social media if there's anyone in Bon Temps with the same last name who's still living. She finds one resident at a retirement home.
Sam Merlot temporarily promoted a 22 year old buss boy named Laz to waiter since Terri Joe has gone and Arlene Fowler is a single mom so she can't take over the shifts. Although he's starting to build a strong connection to Laz and it's getting complicated fast because Laz confides in him that his parents are kicking him out and he needs somewhere to stay until he saves up enough money for his own apartment.
Sam is a 27 year old bachelor and they work in the same place so it seems like an ideal plan. Alex Cheap
has been staying by Terri Joe's side every day since she has been asleep and taking care of the twins. It has now been 7 days, and she finally wakes up. Because of their hybrid nature, the twins are able to survive powdered milk or blood. When Terri Joe wakes up, she gasps. Alex, being concerned, asks what's wrong? Are you in pain? He hears her heart racing. She says, no I feel perfect, like an angel. She asks am I dead? Alex laughs and says no. Terri Joe does the unexpected. She stands up and hugs him. Alex begins to cry as they are embracing each other. Her warmth on his skin feels better than sunshine on a lazy Sunday in May. It turns out that Alex's blood healed more than just Terri Joe's internal injuries. It also healed her knee caps and her previously fractured bones, which were shot by local homophobes who were aiming at lgbtq members but were drunk and missed. Terri Joe was actually at the pride parade to protest against it that day. As she lay on the ground, Terri Joe was also hit by an SUV that day that was driven by some gay men who were attempting to escape from the shooter. She lay on the hot pavement in the middle of June, covered in blood as a crowd ran away. Some might call it a miracle or a gift, but all Terri Joe knew was that she could finally walk and run again and it was all thanks to Alex cheap.
