Chapter 3

Terri Joe has secretly drank some of Johnny's blood in the past which did heal her injuries, she received 
during a fight with some drug addicts who were stealing his blood to make V but she was still unable to walk or feel her legs at all back then so Alex's blood affected her differently than Johnny's. Luckily it's the south, and her mama taught her peace be steele meaning guns of steele protect your peace so she had a g*n on her at all times and she and Johnny were able to win that fight.   Meanwhile, as Terri Joe and Alex celebrate the beginning of their new lives as parents, Tamara Fortenberry Terri Joe's mom was paying a visit to the local electrician while his wife was out of town. She baked him a 5 cheese layered lasagna, garlic bread, and a vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting. They danced around his empty dinning room. She drank wine and he drank scotch. She cut his hair in the kitchen with some siccors she found in a bathroom medicine cabinet, then they went upstairs and did things that she taught Terri Joe only a man and his wife should be doing. It lasted about 20 minutes. Afterwards he thanked her for coming over and told her she wouldn't have to pay her electric bill for the next 2 months. She smiled, picked up her Bible, and headed to Piggly Wiggly for some good old-fashioned cola. She made it there with time to spare before Bible study so she walked around the aisles and slipped a few things in her  purse. She had a coupon for the pepsi cola tucked away in her bra that she pulled out at the register. As Lana Del Rey walks past her. Lana is a mayoral candidate who's buying posters and markers for campaign signs. She hands Tamara Fortenberry a button and asks for her support. Then she starts sipping her own Pepsi cola before paying. Terri Joe secretly wants Lana Del Rey to win the upcoming election, but she wouldn't ever say that out loud near mama Fortenberry. She learned at a young age to keep things from mama to protect the peace. Meanwhile, Cleetus Fortenberry, Terri Joe's dad is down at the local auto shop having an exhilarating romantic experience with Ms. Shirley's husband Randal. He's supposed to be working a double, and fixing cars, but he's busy working something else and he's very through considering he's in his 40s and has a bad back due to an accident that occurred when he was a child. Cleetus is never honest. Not at work and certainly not at home but he's never met anyone who he couldn't befriend. He's got a way with words and a certain charm that can't be bought or replicated. Meanwhile, down at Merlot's bar, Arlene, the assistant manger, has taken over since Sam is out and is telling the other waiters, bus boys, and cooking staff a pep talk before the evening rush comes in at 6:00 pm. She peaks in Sam's back room of the bar and sees her kids still sitting in down watching cartoons and eating baby dino nuggets that Layfayette made them. As she begins to walk back towards the front of the bar through the kitchen, she's stopped by Patty is the second male fry cook at Merlot's bar. Patty tells her that he really likes her new hairstyle. Arlene
smiles and says thank you, pumpkin. Then Patty asks "Let's you and me go see a movie this weekend". Arlene stops thinks about it and says "I would love to" but then she asks "would that not be weird"? For context, Patty has been flirting with Arlene for the past 3 months, even though she was previously married to his best friend.
Meanwhile, back at Alex Cheap's mansion, Terri Joe and Alex Cheap finally agree on names for their twin babies: Aaron and Eve. However haven't yet decided on middle names. When Terri Joe and Alex are rocking Aaron and Eve, she suggested that the twins sleep in the bed with them because she feels guilt for missing their first 7 days on earth. She questions if she's a bad mom already like her own mama. As they both lay in the bed with Aaron and Eve between them, Alex reaches over, grabs Terri's hand, kisses it, then says, "You are a fantastic mom. You fought like hell while in excruciating pain just to live for them. Please give yourself a break". Meanwhile, back at Merlot's bar, Sam walks in through the back room and finds Arlene's son and daughter in his office. He then sees Arlene kiss Patty in the kitchen. He quietly turns around and walks out without being noticed. When he arrives back at his home, he is greeted by Laz, who just got out of the shower and is still wearing a towel. Sam instantly smells two aromas. The smell of Laz and the smell of food. Laz says from the other room go and head and eat. I'll be in there soon. He walks in the kitchen and finds the table has been set with two big meals and a pie sits between them. Once Laz comes out of the bathroom, Sam asks "Where'd you get all this food? There's nothing in the fridge except for beer and ice cream". Laz laughs then says, "I went by Piggly Wiggly this morning after my shift. I ran in to the most lovely woman today. I think her name was Lena or Lana. She suggested the pie".  Meanwhile, Jason Stackhouse is comforting Tianna in his truck with a warm embrace and a speech about how she's beautiful, smart, funny, and too good for this.small town. He tells her that girls like you were born to make a difference and to achieve something great. But towns like these are just weights that hold you down until you finally break free. He then kisses her forehead, and she finally smiles... Meanwhile, Terri Joe and the twins are asleep. Alex, on the other hand, is standing in his closet holding a black box. He opens it and reveals a 20 carat diamond ring with an engraving on it. He then places it back in the box and closes the door. To be continued..
