"𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧!"
The crowded market off the road was supposed to hold the source they needed. Of course, due to who they were, Marc and Zahra had to disguise themselves from safety of people and the heat in general (moreso for Marc).
Marc hadn't gone all out, only placing a black baseball cap on his head like he usually did when on missions with Zahra. Due to the fact Zahra had lived there all of her life, she had to be a little more careful. Her hair was tied up behind her, a baseball hat on her head also with golden sunglasses on her face.
There was chatter and vehicles creating sound in the area while the two scanned for anything that could be a threat. A man wearing a fez, selling juice, was who the two immediately took an interest in.
"We'll take two of those PLEASE," said Zahra.
"Perfect! Two for you,"The main replied enthusiastically. "Best juice in the world!"
Marc leaned in,"I'm looking for Senfu's sarcophagus."
The man stopped pouring the juice and stood up, looking at Marc and Zahra. "Senfu?"
Zahra facepalmed mentally when she realised what Marc had done. The man wasn't going to trust a foreigner and she knew that. It was one of the reasons Zahra was the one to make conversation.
The man backed away slowly from the pair as a familiar voice filled the air,"I hope you like attention."
Marc looked annoyed as he looked towards Laya, who was playfully sipping her drink. Then from behind her, appeared Omari, who looked a little too happy to see the group again.
"Right guy, right place but you're not Egyptian," said Omari with a smile. "Should have let Zahra handle it."
"Omari!" Zahra grinned. "How did you find us?"
"I brought him with me," Layla interrupted.
"Layla, what are you doing here? You shouldn't be here," Marc attempted to get her to leave.
"Why? Because my name pisses off a few people in Cairo? Who cares? Zahra is with you! She doesn't even know you—"
"About that," Zahra looked at her,"Turns out you were right, this annoying guy is my husband."
"You're kidding me?" Layla scoffed. "We'll talk about that later. Come with me, I'll help you find what you need."
Layla led them to a dock and Zahra had a feeling that she knew where they were going, even though Marc didn't seem to recognise the place. The harrowing silence was broken by Marc:
"So what exactly are we going to do here? What's the plan?"
"Oh, it's not pleasant being left in the dark, is it?" Layla replied, glaring at them both.
