Training helped her clear her mind, getting braver the longer she was out there she began playing with her chakra control more. She eyed the target at the far end of the training yard, concentrating her chakra around the kunai blade in her hand she sent it flying running after it. She pushed herself as fast as she could, letting her blades fly as she ran, jumping over the fallen tree in her way she flipped through the air, letting her blade go. She didn't stop to see if they reached their targets, running as fast as she could manage the kunai ahead of her slammed into the target a second before she got there.

"Shit," she cursed under her breath in frustration that had been her tenth run through and she still wasn't fast enough. Pulling the kunai from the target, she panted lightly from her efforts. Squinting up through the trees she tried to catch a glimpse of the moon, trying to get a sense of how long she had been out here for. As she tilted her head back a strong gust of wind came, blowing her hair back from her face.

"You really are full of surprises, aren't you?" The smooth voice startled her, whirling around with her kunai raised. She pressed her blade against the copy ninja's throat, her chakra flowing from her hand into the blade.

She narrowed her eyes up at his dark one, he didn't look the least bit worried about her blade being at his throat. His dark eye was pierced on her in a glare, his one hand was still tucked into his pant's pocket while the other was loose by his side. Being face to face, Rei realized once again how much taller then her he actually was. He slowly raised his free hand, placing his hand over hers he lowered her hand, not taking his hand off of hers. Rei followed the blade's movements until it was lowered to his chest, his grip on her hand tightening ever so slightly, his glare unwavering.

"What are you doing here?" She asked him, her voice low as she worked to match his narrowed look. She felt her anger spike at him being here, why the hell couldn't she just be left alone?

"I could ask you the same question," he countered her question. His voice was that low tone, the one that held a hundred threats behind it when he spoke. That dangerous calm that made every cell in her body prepare for a fight.

"I didn't take you for the type to ask stupid questions," she snipped out at him. He rolled his eye at her comment, giving her a dry look instead of his narrowed one.

"I didn't take you for the type to be stupid enough to be out here alone," he matched her shortness dropping his hand from hers. Rei snapped back as if she had burned him, taking a step back to give some much needed distance between them. She didn't dare move to put her kunai away, holding it steady in her hand at her side.

"I wasn't really expecting anyone to be out here," she weakly defended herself. She was surprised her voice was staying steady, her heartrate picking up at the danger she was in. Reputation aside, he had a sharingan if they got into a fight her chances of making it out before anyone else noticed them were slim to none.

"That's obvious," he muttered out dryly. She didn't look at him when he spoke, turning her back to him she had reached up towards a target for one of the kunai's there. She gave the target a glare when she was barely unable to reach the blade, standing on her tip toes.

He reached over her, grabbing the blade from the target. Rei spun around, her heart in her throat she pressed her back to the tree to try and give herself as much distance as she could from him staring up at him with widened eyes. This close she could see every muscle in his arm flexing as he grabbed the blade, she could see those grey flecks in his eye as he turned the blade over in his hand, she could feel the heat from his body colliding against her own. She imagined that this was how a prey animal felt at the hands of a predator, ready to fight but knowing that their best option would be to run, knowing their lives were completely at the mercy of the being in front of them.
