Claire & Theo

Theo had enough of Claire and her problems. This was the second time she had sent a resignation to him this year. He knew that she was very much capable of being a top actress in this industry and he knew that was her goal from the beginning of her career. He just does not know why she brought up this topic to his company.

Did she hate him that much that she wanted to threaten him for her to leave?

He thought that he should try to listen but what good would that bring him?

They clearly only had a business relationship and having sex a few times is harmless, he believed. Even though he always ached for Claire's nearness, that is an idea that should be restricted in his thoughts. Yet, he could never stop thinking about her at all and it was so frustrating for him.

"Sir, is everything all right?" Theo had forgotten that Lucas was present in the room with him.

Lucas clearly felt uncomfortable even though he had been working with Theo for 7 years and had been childhood friends for as long as Theo could remember. Lucas was like a brother to him, and he could share his innermost thoughts with him

"Do you always have to say 'sir' to me? You have known me for so long... it sounds a bit kinky to me." Theo smirked.

"Do not change the subject so easily and I did not take you for a gay man... Has your taste changed? I do not think that Ms. Young would agree to a polygamous relationship." He smiled back.

Damn, Lucas always knew what to say to Theo's inappropriate comments and jokes. This is what Theo enjoyed but the words of bringing up Claire soured his mood.

"Ms. Young and I are not in a relationship. We will never be together." he grunted.

"Well, then I leave you to judge which is the truth in which the lie lays in your heart as well." his friend smiled sneakily.

"I think it's best you leave your poetic words somewhere else, Lucas." Theo was clearly annoyed by his friend's trick to spit the truth out of him.

Lucas paused for a moment, "I believe you must get to work now; she must be at the airport by now. She always listens to you, Theo." he walked out the office door.

He hates it when Lucas is right, and he wishes that he had the last word, but fate never lets it happen. He was not ready to see Claire just yet, but of course he wanted her to get to Canada safely.

The lie lays in your heart as well.

He silently thought.
