Drake laughed. He had humiliated my dad's speech.

"You pitiful old man!" Drake scoffed, "I shall deal with you, as quick as swatting a pesky insect!"

"Dad, just leave me. I'll be fine." I said.

"How do you know, Violet!? He's a killer! He's a murderer!"

"Monsieur do not test me!" Drake warned in anger, "I have spared your life, bit I can take it even faster."

"See! This is what I'm talking about! Please don't do this!"

"That is the final straw!" Drake shouted waving his hand.

"No!"

...

The basement cell seemed like whole new definition of sadness. I felt so alone and afraid. A feeling came over me. It was like the whole the world was falling.

Drake had locked me away down in this awful prison. In the jail, I began to question if he really loved me. Anyone could see that Drake was relentless about keeping me.

Where had he hid my father dad this time? He knew I loved dad dearly, and also knew that I would do anything to get him back. Drake was clever to keep my dad from me. If I only had an advantage to his games. Wait, maybe I did! Drake knew everything about me, and I only knew a few about him. But that's all I needed! I would do anything for my dad, and he would do anything to have me! That was the answer!

Click. Screech!

The door to the basement opened. I held my breath, and my heart was pounding as I saw Drake enter through the opening. His form illuminated in the new light.

...

"Sorry for putting you here. It is just your father's consequences now. Please come to me." Drake said opening the cell door.

I stepped out cautiously and stood in front of Drake.

"Oh my dear!" he gasped looking at my wet clothes, "Let me get you some new clothing."

He held out his hand for me to take. I decided to go along with it, because after all he was being nice to me. Drake lead me upstairs into a bedroom. It looked exactly like the one in his painting with ugly green bedsheets.

"Take a seat my dear, it shall only be moment. Do not miss me too much." Drake smiled as he left the room.

I sat on the bed and waited for him to return. A faint song sounded in the room while I waited. Then a voice from above swirled around me making me tired.

Little girl so gentle

Little so kind

Listen to the music

Listen to my voice

Sleep now little girl

For you have come to the end

For in the morning little girl

You shall be mine...

I then drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep.

...

"Wake up darling."

My vision blurred as my eyes fluttered open. I rubbed as my eyes, and saw Drake right in front of me still in a black tux and bow tie. His hair was combed back too, and was fined with probably tons gels. I suddenly jumped back, finally alert.

"Do not be frightened. It is just me." he said trying to comfort me while doing the exact opposite.

I looked around the room in fright. I was still in the same place, then as a final measure, I checked myself. My clothes had been changed from a pair of jeans and a sweater to a beautiful laced nightgown. I gasped out loud. He had changed me! My cheeks were glowing bright pink and red flashes of color. Drake sort of chuckled at my reaction.

"You like it I assume?" Drake asked.

"It's so soft and warm. Thank you."

"It was no trouble my dear. Now, let us go to the dining room for some breakfast. Follow me."

I followed Drake into the dining room, and I sat down at the very end of the table. The dining room had special china and glasses shaded different colors of the rainbow. The table and chairs were made of dark wood. Overhead was a fragile crystal chandelier. In the middle of the table was a candelabra and a vase of scarlet roses.

"Let me get the banquet." Drake said snapping his fingers in a catchy rhythm.

...

Trays of food started to hover out of the kitchen. One by one the trays set themselves down across the table in different areas. Hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs cooked in all ways headed to the table. Pancakes, waffles, grits, oatmeal, and even fresh fruit was floating to me.

"A feast only fitting a queen. You may have all that you wish. Meet me in the parlor when you are finished."

"Thank you."

"Twas my pleasure mademoiselle." he smirked and left the dining room.

I gazed at the mountains of food. I licked my lips in delight. I started to pile my plate high with my favorite breakfast treats. I sat back in my seat and gorged myself.

My plate was clean in a matter minutes. It was fantastic, but then something hit me. Since last night, my dad hadn't even entered my mind. Why was 'thank you' coming of my mouth towards Drake too? My head seemed to be to be wiped clean of all the horrid things he had done.

Why couldn't I seem to remember anything? Even if I tried it would be a fuzzy haze of mishmash. This wasn't right! What had Drake done? What had happened to me?
