The days following Prae's engineering breakthrough passed by smoothly, and she was back in her rhythm, all thanks to Alex's support. With her project now well on its way to completion, Prae felt lighter, and her stress levels had decreased significantly. But one thought kept coming back to her—Alex had been there for her through thick and thin, and she wanted to do something special to thank him.

It was a Friday evening when the idea came to her. Prae was sitting in their dorm room, thinking of all the times Alex had been her rock, supporting her emotionally and intellectually. From their late-night study sessions to that moment in the library where he helped her find clarity, he had always been there. It was time to do something meaningful to show him how much she appreciated everything he'd done.

A smile tugged at her lips as she thought of the perfect plan.

The next morning, Prae got up early and headed into town. She had a few errands to run for her surprise, and she wanted everything to be perfect. She knew Alex had been stressed with his geology coursework and upcoming exams, so the idea was to give him a day of relaxation and fun—something to take his mind off all the pressure.

By the time the afternoon rolled around, Prae had set everything up. She had booked a private session at a local spa for the both of them, followed by dinner at Alex's favorite restaurant in town. But that wasn't all—she had one more surprise waiting for him later in the evening.

When Alex arrived at their dorm room after his study session, he found Prae waiting for him with a grin on her face.

"Hey, sweetie," he said, noticing her excitement. "What's going on? You look like you're up to something."

Prae chuckled. "Oh, I am. Remember when you helped me with my project last week? Well, I wanted to thank you for that. So, I've planned a little something for you today."

Alex raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A surprise? For me?"

Prae nodded. "Yep. You've been working so hard, and I think it's time you took a break. Come on, get your stuff—we're heading out!"

Alex laughed, clearly curious but willing to go along with whatever Prae had planned. "Alright, lead the way."

Their first stop was the spa, where Prae had booked a couple's massage session. Alex's eyes widened when they arrived at the peaceful, serene location.

"Wow, Prae... This is incredible," he said, looking around. "I definitely wasn't expecting this."

Prae smiled, pleased with his reaction. "You deserve it. You've been working non-stop, and I know how much you love nature and peaceful settings. I figured this would be the perfect way to help you unwind."

The massage session was everything Alex needed. The stress and tension from weeks of studying melted away, and by the time they were done, he felt completely relaxed. Prae, too, was enjoying the calm, but most of all, she was happy to see Alex so at ease.

After the spa, they headed to dinner at Alex's favorite restaurant. Over plates of delicious food, they talked and laughed, reminiscing about their time together at university and their adventures on Koh Yao Noi. It was a perfect evening, and Alex was clearly touched by the effort Prae had put into making the day special for him.

As they were finishing dessert, Alex leaned back in his chair, a contented smile on his face. "Prae, this has been amazing. I don't know how to thank you. You've really outdone yourself."

Prae reached across the table, taking his hand. "You don't need to thank me, Alex. You've done so much for me—I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate you. Besides, the day's not over yet."

Alex's curiosity piqued once more. "There's more?"

Prae grinned mischievously. "Yep. Follow me."

They made their way back to the dorm, where Prae had one final surprise waiting. As they entered their room, Alex noticed something different. On his desk was a small box wrapped in simple brown paper and tied with a string. Next to it was a note that read, "To my rock, my partner, and my best friend. You're my greatest support, and I couldn't ask for anyone better to walk through life with. This is just a small token of my appreciation. Love, Prae."

Alex opened the box to find a beautiful pocket watch engraved with the words "Our Time Together." His breath caught in his throat as he turned it over, the metal gleaming in the soft light. It was a classic, timeless piece, and Alex could see the thought Prae had put into it.

"Prae... This is incredible," Alex said, his voice thick with emotion. "You really didn't have to do all of this."

Prae smiled softly. "I wanted to. You've always been there for me, and I wanted you to know how much that means. The watch is a reminder that no matter how busy we get or how much time passes, we'll always have each other."

Alex pulled her into a tight embrace, his heart full. "You're amazing, you know that? I don't know how I got so lucky."

Prae chuckled, resting her head on his chest. "I think we're both pretty lucky."

That night, as they sat together, basking in the warmth of their bond, Prae and Alex knew that their relationship was built on something far deeper than just romance—it was built on mutual respect, appreciation, and a deep understanding of one another. And in that, they found their greatest reward.
