As the semester ended and summer approached, Prae found herself with a bit more free time. She wanted to make the most of it, both for her own relaxation and to deepen her connection with Alex. She had been reflecting on how much Alex had supported her throughout their relationship, and she realized that joining him in his hobbies could be a great way to show her appreciation and share more experiences together.

Alex's passion for geology was something Prae had always admired from a distance. While she was deeply involved in her engineering studies, she had never fully immersed herself in the world of rocks and minerals that Alex loved. She knew that spending time with him exploring his interests would not only be fun but also strengthen their bond.

One Saturday morning, as they were enjoying breakfast together, Prae decided it was the perfect time to bring up the idea.

"Hey Alex," she began, looking at him with a playful smile, "I've been thinking about something. I know you're always talking about your field trips and all the cool stuff you discover. How about we do something fun together—something involving geology?"

Alex looked up from his plate, his eyes lighting up with curiosity. "Really? What do you have in mind?"

"Well," Prae said, "I was thinking it would be fun to join you on one of your weekend field trips. I know you've been planning a visit to that new rock formation site outside the city. I'd love to come along and learn more about it with you."

Alex's face brightened with excitement. "That sounds amazing! I'd love to have you join me. It's always more enjoyable to share these experiences with someone special."

They spent the rest of the week preparing for the trip. Alex provided Prae with a list of essentials to bring—comfortable shoes, a field notebook, a camera, and of course, sunscreen. Prae enjoyed the process of gearing up for the adventure, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity about what she would discover.

The day of the trip arrived, and they set out early in the morning. As they drove to the site, Alex enthusiastically shared details about the geology of the area, explaining the significance of various rock formations and what they would be looking for.

When they arrived, Prae marveled at the stunning landscape. The site was filled with intriguing rock formations, and Alex was in his element, eagerly pointing out features and explaining their geological history.

Prae followed him closely, trying to soak in all the information. She took notes, snapped photos, and asked questions. She could see how much Alex's eyes sparkled when he talked about his field, and it made her even more excited to be a part of his world.

At one point, they came across a particularly interesting rock formation. Alex crouched down to examine it, and Prae joined him, sitting beside him on the rocky ground.

"Look at this," Alex said, pointing to a fascinating mineral vein running through the rock. "This is a great example of how minerals can create beautiful patterns in nature."

Prae leaned in closer, impressed. "It's amazing how much detail you can see. I'm glad I'm here with you to experience this."

Alex smiled, reaching over to take her hand. "I'm really glad you're here too. It means a lot to me that you're interested in my hobbies and that you're willing to learn about them."

As the day went on, they continued to explore, sharing discoveries and enjoying each other's company. They took breaks to have a picnic lunch, sitting on a grassy patch with their feet up on a rock.

During lunch, Alex pulled out a small field guidebook and flipped through the pages, showing Prae different rock types and their characteristics. Prae admired how passionate and knowledgeable Alex was, and she felt a deep sense of connection to him through this shared experience.

After they finished their lunch, Alex surprised Prae with a small rock sample he had collected from their exploration. "I thought you might like to have this as a souvenir," he said with a grin. "It's a little piece of our adventure together."

Prae's eyes sparkled with happiness as she accepted the gift. "Thank you, Alex. I love it. It's perfect."

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the landscape, they made their way back to the car, tired but content. Prae felt a deep sense of satisfaction from the day's experience, knowing that she had stepped into Alex's world and shared something meaningful with him.

Back at their dorms, they relaxed together, reflecting on the day. Prae felt grateful for the chance to see Alex's passion up close and to be a part of something so special to him.

"Today was incredible," Prae said, snuggling up to Alex on the couch. "I'm really glad I joined you."

Alex kissed her forehead, his voice warm. "I'm glad too. It meant a lot to me. Thanks for coming with me and for being so enthusiastic. It made the day even better."

Prae smiled, feeling a sense of contentment and fulfillment. "Anytime, Alex. I love sharing these experiences with you. It's one of the many things that makes our relationship so special."

As they sat together, enjoying the quiet of the evening, Prae knew that joining Alex in his hobbies was more than just a fun activity. It was a way to deepen their connection, to understand each other better, and to celebrate the things that made them unique.
