Harry's POV
I was sitting in the Great Hall eating breakfast earlier than usual, as I wanted to get to class early for three reasons. One, I had potions and I need to talk to Professor Snape. Two, I wanted to try and avoid being spotted by Malfoy and his goons. And lastly, I've been awake since 3:37 in the morning and didn't want to wait for Ron or Hermione when it was 7:00.

After I finished eating, I grabbed my book bag and left to go to potions, unaware of a pair of eyes following me. I walked down the hallways towards the dungeons, keeping an eye on my surroundings like I always do these days. Which is why I immediately knew something was wrong the moment I stepped foot in the corridor a little away from the classroom.

I quickened my pace and gripped my wand but it was all in vain. Someone threw a tripping jinx at me and I fell to the ground, my wand flying out of my pocket a few feet away. "Look what we have here, a weak little Half-blood." Malfoy taunted me, I rolled my eyes at his originality before attempting to get up. That didn't go very well.

I felt Malfoy's foot on my back push me back down, as his goons all laughed at me. "You should know better then to be alone in a snake's territory Potter. Didn't your mummy ever teach you that? Oh wait, she's dead." I felt my anger bubble up, trying to escape it's restraints. "Shut up Malfoy." I told him quietly, trying not to let the raw anger take over.

I felt a kick to my back and I grunt in pain. "Watch your mouth Potter. You might just say something you'll regret later." Malfoy kicks my side to punctuate his words. I bite my lip to stop from screaming in pain as I feel one of my ribs crack. I level Malfoy with a glare as I try to stand up again. I feel a kick to my other side as someone else pushes me back down.

I grit my teeth in annoyance and pain while the others laugh. "He's so pathetic." That sounded female, it was probably Parkinson. I knew I had to brace myself for the incoming beating so I did just that. And right as I did so, they started to beat me and throw curses and jinxes at me. I bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from screaming out.

When they were finally finished, they tied me up with ropes and laughed before walking off. I heard someone stop before they spoke. "You know," of course it was Malfoy. "You really are pathetic Potter, you're nothing but a freak to our world." And with those words he left, footsteps echoing away. I stay there for a good 20 minutes before I focus on my magic to vanish the ropes.

I get up into a sitting position before looking at my wounds. Luckily there was only bruises and a cracked rib. I focus more intently on my magic before putting a glamour on. I feel it wash over me and I sigh before getting up. I stand there for a few moments, Malfoy's words repeating in my mind. I'm a freak? Fine, he want's a freak? Then a freak is what he'll get.

I walk over to my dropped bag and pick everything up, before checking the time with a quick Tempus charm. 8:30am showed up in bright blue lighting. I'm 30 minutes late for potions, Professor Snape is gonna be mad. I make my way to the potions classroom, mind thinking of all the ways I would get my revenge on Malfoy and his goons.

I stop in front of the classroom door, collecting my thoughts and strengthening my occlumency shields. When I'm positive they're strong enough I walk into the classroom. Everyone goes quiet and stops to turn and look at me. The Slytherin's have sneers or smirks on their faces, while the Gryffindor's expressions show annoyance. I glare at them all before going to my seat.

"Mr. Potter, care to explain why you're late?" Professor Snape asks with his signature sneer on his face. My glare immediately leaves my face, going blank before I respond. "I'm sorry sir, it won't happen again." I look up and see his eyes narrow upon seeing my face. "10 points from Gryffindor for being 30 minutes late to class Mr. Potter." He says before turning to the board.

I listen in to the rest of the lecture before we start to make the potion we were doing today. I wait until everyone gets their ingredients before getting up and going to get my own. I walk into the supply closet and go to the back, where the fresh ingredients are, grabbing them and walking back to my desk. This potion doesn't need partners, so we're on our own.

I read through the instructions and pick up a few things that I could change to make the potion better. No longer am I hiding my intelligence, I'll show them that I'm not stupid, even if Hermione won't like it. As I make the potion, I change a few things when needed to make it better. I finished a bit earlier then everyone so I started to read my potions textbook.

After everyone was near the finishing stage of their potions, I put my book down and bottled my potion before going up to Professor Snape and handing it in.  "Stay after class Mr. Potter." Professor Snape says, looking me dead in the eye. I nod my head and go back to my desk. 'He doesn't know about the glamour does he?' I think to myself as I start to pack everything up.

As class ended and we got our homework, everyone left. I put my book back in my bag and walk over to Professor Snape. I wait as he puts all the potions into boxes, before he turns to me. He stares at me for a moment, before speaking. "Take it off, Mr. Potter." I look away, staring at the floor. "I don't know what  you're talking about professor." I reply, knowing it would prove useless.

He just looks at me until I sigh, giving up. I close my eyes and focus on my magic taking off the glamour, once I feel it fall, I open my eyes and look at professor Snape. He studies me for a second, before he stands up and walks around his desk. He pulls out his wand but stops as my eyes narrow. "Can I heal you?" He asks.

I look at him, looking for any signs of ill intent towards me. Finding none, I nod my head in allowance. He walks over to me, before pointing his wand at my face and muttering what I assume to be healing spells. After he finishes, I feel much more better. "Are there any other places where you're hurt?" He asks me. I nod silently, before pointing where Malfoy had kicked me.

"I think there's a cracked rib." I explain, looking away from him. He nods, and says a spell and instantly I can breathe a bit better. "Thank you" I say gratefully. He nods. "I would like to know who did this." His tone sounded angry, but somehow not at me. I stay silent for a few minutes, before relenting and speaking up. "It was Malfoy and his friends."

Professor Snape sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. I stayed silent, wondering if I should warn him about what I'm gonna do to Malfoy. For reasons unknown, I decided that I should. "I'm gonna hurt him," He looks at me and raised his eyebrow in a way to say 'continue'. So I did. "Malfoy, I'm gonna hurt Malfoy." I continued, wanting to get this all out.

"This has been going on since first year and only now has he started to physically hurt me, and I've had enough. I'm gonna hurt him." Snape looks at me with narrowed eyes. "Why are you telling me this?" He asks. I think about it, before realizing why. "Because you wont stop me."
Professor Snape widened his eyes slightly, raising his eyebrows in shock.

"And why is that?" He asks, voice portraying that he's confused. I smile, staring at him intently. "Because you know he deserves it." Professor Snape stares at me, most likely thinking everything over in his head as his eyes are a bit distant. I wait for him to collect his thoughts. He does so in about 2 and a half minutes.

"I see now, that you're right, I won't stop you because as much as I hate to say it, he does deserve it. All I ask is that you don't leave a physical mark on him." He says, leveling me with a stern glare. I smile and nod my head. "No physical mark on him, got it. But that does leave room for a mental mark." He sighs and hands me a slip.

"Take that to your next teacher and they won't assign detention or take points." He says. I nod my thanks and turn to leave. I have Transfiguration next so I make my way up to the higher levels where the classroom is. In about 10 minutes I arrive outside the classroom, I may of taken a few shortcuts. I open the door and walk in.

I hand McGonagall the slip that professor Snape gave me, and went to sit down at my desk. She sends me an annoyed look, before continuing on with the lesson. We're supposed to turn something inanimate to an animal. I sigh as she hands out small chests to everyone. After getting mine I put it to the side to take notes. This is gonna be a long day.
