A/N
Happy pride month to all my guys gals and non binary pals! (Thomas Sanders reference) I hope you all have an amazing pride and stay safe. 🏳️‍🌈❤️ Also if there are numbers in brackets next to a sentence then I have something to say about it and you can find it after the chapter, it will have a matching number. For instance if a sentence had (1) at the end then after the story go to the A/N at the end and find (1). It's quite simple really but just to make sure everyone understands I had to explain.
Sorry for wasting your time, onto the story now

Harry's POV:
15 minutes later, the Hufflepuff's and Gryffindor's come in for class with a few late. Professor Sprout comes in through the back door of the greenhouse we're using and gives us all a cheery smile that lessens a bit when she sees me. She tells us that we're going to be working on Mandrakes again to revise for our O.W.L tests this year.

Most of the class we were doing what we did in second year. Learning how to protect ourselves from the fatal cry's of the plant, learning how to repot it and all that. Professor Sprout came around and looked at everyone's pots with the mandrakes safely tucked into the soil, and started giving out praise and advice to everyone respectively.

When she got to me and looked into the pot her eyes widened and she did a double take. This got everyone's attention and now they were all curious to see what was happening and if I did something wrong. Obviously I didn't but they didn't know that yet. "Mr. Potter, what soil did you use exactly?" Professor Sprout asked in a curious yet surprised voice.

I could see some Gryffindor's snickering behind their hands and internally rolled my eyes at them. "Mildly damp soil professor, I read that it helps sooth the mandrakes and makes them calm and less likely to scream (1)" I reply evenly, watching as she smiles a genuine smile at me since the third task. "10 points to Gryffindor Mr. Potter."  She said as she walked to the next person.

The Gryffindor's and Hufflepuff's gaped at me, some of them in shock others in jealousy. I ignored all of them in favour of doing the theory part of the work, which was writing a more advanced text on how to care for a mandrake. After class, Professor Sprout assigned us all a 4 inch essay on how mandrakes can be used in potions and how to properly care for them.

Now sitting in charms class with Professor Flitwick standing on a stack of books like back in first year, I waited for the rest of the Gryffindor's to come as the Slytherins were already there. My magic was tense, sensing that something bad was gonna happen (2). I subtly got out my wand from it's holster, and observed the room.

Seeing Malfoy and his goons whispering and smirking at each other while looking at me every once in a while made my magic scream to be released upon them, and it took all my strength both mentally and physically to reign it in. I subtly whispered an advanced shield charm that protected me 360 so no one could hit me with spells.

I look back at Professor Flitwick to see him staring back at me in curiosity. I inwardly cursed as I remembered that he was half goblin and thus could sense when magic was used around them (3). I quickly looked away just in time to see an ugly green spell come flying at me and collide into my shield I put up. Everyone who was present went silent and stared at me in shock.

I looked towards Malfoy and raised an eyebrow. "You've tried that too many times on me Malfoy do you really think I wouldn't be prepared?" I said in a voice that was daring him to reply. He just looked at me and sneered. "You don't have any evidence it was me Potter, it's rude to accuse." I rolled my eyes at him and turned to Professor Flitwick.

"Professor you are half goblin yes?" I asked him curiously. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Malfoy look at me confused. "You'll be correct Mr. Potter, I am indeed half goblin." Professor Flitwick confirmed with a nod of his head. "Then you can sense magical signatures?" I continued, watching in glee as Malfoy's sneer was gone and his eyes showed worry.
