(A/N) hey, this chapter is going to have someone getting drunk. If that's something you're sensitive to, maybe consider shipping this chapter.

(Luigi) "We're gonna die tonight."

"We're not gonna die tonight!"

"Going to this ball is a terrible idea! Everyone will see us!"

"It's a costume ball, people aren't going to notice us!"

"You are a 8 foot tall Koopa, it is hard for people to not notice you!"

"Come on, it's not the end of the world! We can get through this!"

"No, nope, not going, come on, let's go to... wherever Pauline lives!"

"If Mario is there, we will leave as soon as possible, okay?"

"But what if he sees us? He's gonna lock you up again!"

"Luigi, I'm not going to let that happen! Now let's go inside, we're already late."

"Fine." I looked over to the massive door in front of us. "Can you hold my hand?"

"Of course, green bean." Bowser wrapped his claw around my hand. He pushed open the door to a beautiful scene. An orchestra played Mozart, there were some ice sculptures of a lipstick bottles (?), and people danced around the floor. I scanned the room for a red cap, and there was no such thing to be found! Thank goodness!

Almost as soon as he closed the door, a woman in a blue and white suit came floating (?) over to us. "Finally! Now the party can truly begin!" She grabbed the door and locked it behind us.

"W-wait!" But before either of us could protest any further, she flew up onto the stage and started speaking.

"Greetings, everyone, and welcome to my graduation party!"

"You're graduation? Aren't you over a thousand years old?" A person from the other side of the room asked. Over a thousand? This girl looked like she was under 30!

"Ah, well, I've been going to cosmetology school on and off for the past 600 years and I finally got my degree! Oh, and because I just got my license, you all get makeovers!"

The room filled with silence. Then a single voice broke it. "You told us this was a costume party!" The room then was met with agreement.

"Alright, alright! Settle down! I get it, I might have not told you what this party was really for, but hey, at least you get makeovers!"

"Makeovers?!" I whisper screamed. "This isn't gonna work, we need to leave!"

"Ya think I ain't trying? The door's locked!" I turned, and there was Bowser, pulling on the door. We were stuck there.

(About 30 minutes later, Rosalina has had more than a couple drinks, makeovers haven't started yet, Mario's pov) Making sure 8 kids don't run off and disrupt a fancy party while also trying to find your brother is very difficult.

"Do you need me to take some of the kids?" Peach said, picking up Lemmy before he could get too far.

"No, I think I've got it. Morton! Let go of that ice sculpture!" I said, rushing over to the grey Koopa.

"But I want it!" He cried as I pulled him away from the sculpture.

"You can't have everything you want, now come on, I need to make sure your siblings aren't mauling Auntie Peach!"

"I bet dad would've let me have it."

"Well, I'm not him, hard as it is to believe." I lead him back to the kids and Peach, who somehow had a handle on them. "Hope they weren't too much?"

"No, they were fine. I think you're just a bad babysitter."

"Hey!"

Just then, Rosalina walked back up on stage, calling for the band to stop. Everyone turned to her after her wonderful speech last time.

"Alright, alright, so, I have a funny story to tell!" The room groaned. "Okay, it happened like, 50 something years ago. I met this guy, his name's David, and he gets really infatuated with me. He goes home, and about 20 years later, I hear about this song called Star Man, and the artist is the very same David I knew when I was slightly younger! He wrote that song about me! So, uh, because it's a good enough song to sing, um, I'm gonna sing it now!"

I turned back to the kids as the intro for the song started playing. "Okay, that was not important. Let's do a head count. Me, Peach," I started, pointing at the two of us. "Wendy, Morton, Larry, Junior, Ludwig, Roy..." I trailed off, recounting them in head. There were only six. "We're missing two."

"Which two? Who are we missing?"

"Iggy and Lemmy. Bowser is going to kill me." I said, putting a hand to my head.

"It's alright! We'll be able to find them! I'll watch the others, you go find them!"

"Alright. Kids, be good for Auntie Peach." And like that, I ran off to search for the kids.

Little was I aware, at that moment Iggy and Lemmy were right next to the stage where Rosalina was singing. The moment I found out was when she stopped singing for the interlude of the song. As she slowed down, the kids managed to get her attention. She knelt down to them and they explained the situation with their dads. When I noticed is when she (very loudly into the microphone) screamed, "Yes! Oh my gosh, yes!"

I then noticed the kids and I went to pull them away from the stage. She stopped me, and told me to wait. I did what she said, and, well, I don't think I'm the one to finish this story.

(Bowser) I held Luigi close in the corner of the room. This was not good. We needed to get out. Just then magic space lady screamed "Yes! Oh my gosh, yes!".

"What the hell is her issue?" Luigi asked.

"I think she's just drunk." I said as I pulled him closer.

Just then the dance floor cleared and we were shoved even further in to the corner. "This goes out to a very special couple!" The lady yelled before continuing her song.

I'll have to admit, it was a decent song. But not so good that I couldn't hear one of my kids' voices through the crowd. It was Wendy, who had managed to get to us.

"Dad! Daddy! There you are!" Wendy rushed over to us.

"Wendy? What are doing here?" I asked.

"You should be at home!" Luigi said.

"It doesn't matter, you need to come with me!" She grabbed our hands and started dragging us through the crowd.

She dragged us out on to the dance floor, where it was just us. On the stage was Iggy, Lemmy, space lady, and Mario. Space lady paused her song to say, "And here's the very special couple of the hour, Bowser and Luigi!" Mario gave a sorry smile to us.

Luigi looked up at me and smiled. "You know something?"

"What?"

"I love you and I don't care who knows it!" And with he leaned up to me and gave me a kiss. Seriously, he was a really good kisser.

We danced as stupid space lady sang. Afterwards, we ended up talking to Mario and Peach and they said they were sorry, but also said I shouldn't have kidnapped Luigi and broke out of jail cause they were planning to let me go anyway, something that should've been solved with a simple conversation at the beginning. But maybe it was fate. Maybe the stars had it out for us. Or maybe we were just a couple of inpatient, reckless bastereds. Probably that second one.

(A/N) sorry that ended so quickly, I just had to get it out the day of the Mario Movie. There is one more chapter but there, you have a climax! Be bloody grateful I didn't orphan this fic! Also be grateful for long car rides with nothing to do. Also my dad, who helped me get out of writers block, come up with ideas, and is kind of the inspiration for Mario in this chapter. It's a long story, but if you say, "thank you Lumpy's dad" in the comments, he's gonna be really happy. Anyway, love y'all, still gonna be an epilog.
