the two leos. - angst

leo/leon = leo duh
leonardo = future leo

"is it... scary?" he asks floating in a blank void of darkness, holding onto the last possession he has left, a picture of his family. his brothers, sister, and father. a single tear sheds down his face, dissolving into nothingness like theres too much heat for it to immediately evaporate.

a large figure walks closer to leo, placing a hand on his shoulder standing next to him not daring to face him. "kid, im glad you survived until now..." future leonardo states warmly, a sympathetic look on his face.

leo's eyes wanted to widen from what he was hearing, but he was too tired to do it, too tired to make any more expressions. "until now, huh?" he slightly chuckles coughing up blood, slightly gripping his chest from the pain.

leonardos grip softens from hearing the state his past self is in, trying his best to not tear up. his heart shatters realising his past brothers would never see leo again, never to see his smug smile whenever he makes a pun during the most drastic moment they're in, not hearing his laugh whenever they have pizza night.

a rush of tears fall down leos face, yet again evaporating into the void. his signature grin appears on his face along with some salt water dripping from his cheek onto his plastron. "at least they're safe..."

"of course they are, kid. ya did a good job of keeping them safe, i dont think a kraangified family would be the best." they both laugh trying to cope with their humour. leonardo finally gathered up the guts to face his past self, his smile slightly widening as he closes his eyes. leos head turns to look at leonardo after he opened them, his eyelids getting heavier each second.

the pain that was scattered all over his body leaves leo, his eyes fully shutting but still never letting go of his picture. leonardo pats his shoulder before he fades away from the void, leos physical body returning to the prison dimension. "you lived a good life, bud. maybe your next one will be better. our bros loved us, they'll love you in your second chance."
