Three days later
Saturday night

"Tigers! Tigers! Tigers!"

The sounds of students and parents in the stands cheered as we exited the field. It was only the first game, but the first game is always played against our biggest rivals. Ridgecrest Academy. I was done cheering and now heading home to get ready for the little party the team was having at Dock Side.

"You girls looked amazing!" My dad said to Leslie and me as we walked into the house

"Thanks, papa," Leslie replied

"Thanks, dad"

"What time will you all be home tonight?"

"Everyone is meeting up at 8:30; soo think we can cut curfew to midnight?"

"Laur, fine, it is Saturday, and you guys are good kids. But when I say midnight, I mean it, not 12:01, not 12:02."

The girls rushed to Lauren's room to shower and get ready. I threw on a denim skirt with a bikini top and my feather necklace. Stephanie wore a sundress with sandals, and Lisa and Leslie wore denim skirts.

"Photo for MySpace," Lisa said and held up her digital camera

We all posed and uploaded the picture before leaving. The girls got into Lauren's car and headed for Dockside; it was a hot night tonight, so I was happy to have picked the perfect outfit.

"Laur, did you see Temetrius's comment on the picture?"

"What did he say?"

"He said, looking good."

"And before you say it, yes, he was talking about you," Lisa added

"He couldn't have been talking about me; everyone knows I like Kelly" Steph smiled

"Ya'll be spending all this time together, and you still haven't told him you like him?"

"It'll happen," Stephanie replied

The girls pulled up to Dockside, and it was full of Crestwood kids. Someone stood on the beach smoking, some swam and others just tried to look cool by not having too much fun.

We went to the drink stand and ordered drinks.

"Can I get a strawberry daiquiri?" Lauren told the worker

"Have you guys seen Ja yet?"

"Oop, someone checking for they bun bun" Stephanie laughed

Lauren rolled her eyes. But it was true she was checking for Ja. He invited her so she had every right to check for him.

"Hey, you!" A voice said

Lauren turned around and saw Temetrius, Chris, and Kelly walking toward them. Temetrius had on a white tank top with a gold chain and a pair of grey shorts with air force ones, and my Lord, he looked the bomb.com

"Hey, Ja" I smiled, probably a little harder than I wanted to

"You look beautiful. Can I have a hug?" He held open his arms

"You don't need my con—

"I do need your consent. Ain't nothing sexier than consent"

My heart fluttered and my kitty had a heartbeat. I walked into his arms and we hugged. He smelled so good! I guess we were hugging a little too long because our friends started laughing.

"Can I get you a burger?"

"Sure. Guys I'm gonna—

Lauren turned around to tell her friends she was going with Ja but they were already gone. Ja and Lauren headed to the burger shop and ordered then sat down together.

"So, Lauren.. you told me your favorite colors are blue and purple?"

"Yeah. Especially royal blue."

"You not gonna ask me mine?"

"Well I already know your favorite colors are blue and black"

"How did you know that?"

"I always see you wearing one of those colors if not both. Then the inside of your locker is so blue you'd think you were a crip" Lauren joked

"Ahh you pay attention to the kid. I like that"

I blushed harder than I wanted. "What's your favorite type of music?"

"Hip hop and gospel"

"I love Eminem, 8-Ball, 3-6 Mafia, Coolio"

"Lil mama a gangsta" Ja chuckled

"I just know good music" we laughed

"Ahh looky here. My man and another woman on a date" A voice said

"Kara, this isn't a date"

"And if it was?" Ja stood up

"You really left me for a loser?"

"She's not a loser and so what if I did leave you for Lauren?"

After Ja said that I almost choked on my drink. Is that him confirming he indeed left her for me?
