Sero X Denki X Deku (Soulmate AU)

Eleven

(Denki POV)

I woke up early, moving from Sero to go check on Izuku. I was pretty upset when I heard that Sero and Izuku were sleeping in separate rooms, but I understood they needed time to get comfortable with each other. 

I had been sleeping with Sero because when I had asked Izuku if he wanted a switch in and out he refused saying he would feel awkward with someone else in the bed. I was slightly upset but it was understood too. 

Izuku was still asleep when I opened the bedroom doors and he was sleeping in the bed, huddled in a circle and snoring softly. I moved over to him and bent slightly and pressed my lips to his forehead gently.

"Izuku, sweety, it's time to wake up." I whispered. 

He mumbled, "Denki?"

"Yes Izuku, it's me."

"Why do I have to wake up?" Izuku groaned, opening his eyes but smiling as he looked at me. He reached his hand out and touched me and my face became hot with embarrassment.

"Because you have your first day of work today and we can't be late." Sero spoke from the doorway, straightening his tie. As soon as Sero spoke, Izuku sat up quickly and startled, like he couldn't relax around Sero. "So get dressed and hurry to the car."

Izuku moved to the edge of the bed and let his legs hang off the bed. I smiled and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "It's so nice that Sero and you will be working at the same job." He didn't say anything, just made his way to the closest, "Izuku, are you okay? If there is anything going on that you'd like to talk about I'm always here for y—" 

"I don't have anything going on, Denki." Izuku interrupted me causing me to shrink back slightly. He looked back and saw my reaction, his face softened and he walked over to me, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"hurry up!" Sero yelled from the living room, "You are taking forever!" He complained.

"I'll go keep him quiet while you get dressed." I smiled teasingly and made my way out of his room. 

As I entered the living room, I gave Sero a kiss on the cheek and went into the kitchen to make him breakfast. 

"Hey Sero, can I ask you for a favor?" I hummed, bringing my gaze to his as I spoke.

He narrowed his eyes, "Maybe."

"Can you keep an eye on Izuku." I frowned when Sero rolled his eyes and turned. "I mean it Sero! I know you hate him even though he's your soulmate and you'd rather do the least for him as possible, but I'm very worried about him. He's been acting strange and I just want to make sure he is alright."

Sero sighed and looked at Denki, "Fine, if you think he's really in that much of trouble, then I will watch out for him. But why does a little negativity make you worry about him?"

(Sero PoV)

I could tell the shift of tensity in the room as I asked the question. 

Denki shifted uncomfortable and gestured for me to come closer. I walked over to the counter and leaned in for Denki to speak. Denki spoke in a whisper.

"He wouldn't want me telling you but Izuku had a horrible past and he had started cutting himself when he got depression." Denki whispered. "He would starve himself and purposely doing anything but sleep. It was like punishing himself for what happened to him."

I felt a weird twinge of anger in my chest. It was something I felt when I wanted to protect Denki. but Denki was telling me about Izuku. So why was I feeling this way all of a sudden. Could it be that I am growing protective of Izuku? Why? He has done nothing to earn it.

"I will keep my eyes on him, Denki." I stated. "try not to worry so much."

Denki smiled, "maybe you are growing a little bit of a heart for him, hm?" He teased.
