Tyler's baby blues are locked onto mine as they walk closer to us.

Shit we have to get out of here.

"Hey sis, how do you know specs?" Ace asked.

"I should've put two and two together with your last name" She muttered.

He smiled at her and turned to me again. "how do you guys know each other?" He asked.

"She's my roommate."

His eyes widen and a smirk appears on his face. "Looks like I'll be visiting you guys more often then" He said looking directly at Jaymie.

She rolls her eyes. "I'll be sure to lock my door more often then Parker. Hi Tyler, how are you?" She asked him.

He forced a smile. "Doing doing well, how are you?" He asked her.

"I'm doing well too" She said.

Ace starts talking to her, leaving me to face Tyler for the first time in 3 years.

"Tyler" I muttered.

"Char" He said.

Why'd he have to say one of my nicknames?

I take in the sight of him and I forgot just how good looking he was, but now he's filled out more and he has facial hair instead of the baby face he used to have, the beard makes him look 10 times better.

He goes to open his mouth, but I pin him with a look.

Not here.

We have a lot to talk about, too much to say in public and when that time comes I know I'll get emotional, so it's better if we do it in private, but no matter what I want answers.

He nods his head understanding exactly what I meant and I'm thankful for that. We always had the ability to communicate with each other sometimes with just a look and even though we haven't spoken in awhile, we can still do that.

"Are you guys going to the party tonight?" Ace asked.

"I'm down if Charlotte wants to" Jaymie shrugged.

Why not.

"Fuck it, I'm down."

I'm gonna need as much alcohol to deal with Tyler being around me again.

"Great, we'll see you guys later then" Ace said.

We tell them goodbye and I turn towards Jaymie. "Ok spill."

She rolled her eyes. "There's nothing between us, I was his tutor last year to make some extras cash and he was like an annoying little gnat that would bug me whenever he saw me" She said.

Yup, sounds like my brother.

"Yeah he tends to do that to people, are you sure nothing else happened because there's definitely chemistry there."

"No, I mean we were friends for a little bit until his ex got all territorial and that ended our friendship, but that's it" She shrugged.
