This is the first Sabbat I've been able to make an altar for!

Imbolc is a Celtic Pagan Sabbat to celebrate and honor the Goddess Brigid and also to celebrate the middle ground between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It is commonly witnessed on February 1st.

An altar for Imbolc consists of several symbols, crystals, objects, and colors. I will list what I used below:

Crystals:
- Selenite
- Clear quartz
- Bloodstone
- Moonstone
- Malachite
- Sodalite
- Red tiger's eye
- Howlite
- Fire agate
- Amethyst
- Carnelian
- Obsidian

Symbols:
- Pentacle
- Triskele
- Sun
- Brigid cross

Objects:
- White candle
- Pinecones
- Acorns
- Branches
- Glass of water

Colors:
- Red
- Gold
- White
- Yellow
- Light green
- Light blue
- Light purple
- Pink

I think my altar turned out very nice, and I like the energy that it gives. Everyone's altar should be personal to them and not a rip-off of someone else's, so while it's perfectly normal to take inspiration and learn about what to do, don't be afraid to put your own spin on it!

Other things you can do to honor Brigid are:
- Tying a scarf or strip of fabric outside of your door on Brigid's Eve for her to bless
- Leaving offerings such as milk, coins, eggs, honey, bread, etc.
- Praying to the Celtic Goddess Brigid
- Making a basket of rushes
- Writing poetry from the heart
- Learning about Brigid and her history
- Wearing Imbolc colors (listed above)
- Listening to traditional Celtic music
