"How could you say 'oh' to your only daughter being exiled?" Sealshine hissed at Mistyshadow.
Mistyshadow rolled her eyes again and said, "I always knew she was trouble, Cuckoopaw too."
At that Sealshine's fur started to lift in anger and she said something which was meant to be kept in her head. The apprentices just watched them from their den. Most of them resented Burntpaw and Cuckoopaw, but some didn't.
Cuckoopaw trotted back into camp, through the tunnel. Burntpaw followed quickly behind, both slightly dreading what would come. They took a seat before the high rock, observing what everyone else was doing.
"Ooh, Highstar looks mad!" Cuckoopaw meowed to Burntpaw. Wonder what got his tail in a twist. She thought to herself.
Sealshine scampered up to the two apprentices, her face full of worry.
"Wow," Burntpaw and Cuckoopaw said in sync as most of the clan turned to glare at them.
"What have you two done?" Cuckoopaw's mother said, her voice matching her face.
"What didn't we do?" Cuckoopaw said with a smile. Burntpaw flicked her tail playfully in agreement.
Sealshine shook her head, becoming more frantic. "I'm serious Cuckoopaw!" Burntpaw started whispering to her friend about something as Sealshine gave in to her frustration.
"You've been exiled!" She said loudly, getting their attention.
They turned to stare at her, "WHAT?!"
The graphic novel version is available on GloryCinder's account.
I updated this version to be more than words and more like a story. I might have left out some things, and revisions might be needed.
