Chapter 9: Conclusion of the Quarter Finals

1st PoV:

"Sheesh, Drama Queen" I say as he left. "Whatever..., should I be worried... probably, but I'm just not"

I head out after him, realizing I should probably keep an eye on him and it doesn't take me long to find him, talking to everyone who had reconvened at the dining area, before I reach there I hear Yugi shout "What have you done with Irene" I pop my head around the corner "You called" they all look over at me in shock "We thought he did something to you" Tea confessed "He wishes he could" Marik growls as I say that "No matter, Pharoah, I've come for your Puzzle & Slifer the Sky Dragon, and Kaiba be prepared to hand over your Obelisk the Tormentor" he says with a grin "Whatever happened to Bakura" I wonder to myself "He kinda just disappeared" "Hold on one second you freak, you still have to have your Duel in the Quater Finals before you can have a chance at me or Yugi" Kaiba says "Ah Yes, this little tournament of yours, I suppose it will be fun to send you and anyone else I face to the Shadow Realm, I suppose I can wait to get started on my work following your schedule" he says with a creepy smile and with that he left and soon so did everyone else "I wonder if I should tell Mai the incantation for Ra, or would that be too divergent from canon, but I don't want Mai to get sent to the Shadow Realm, but it could be bad if she has Ra instead of Marik" I contemplate heavily "Fuck it, screw you canon" I rush off to find Mai and I find her in her room and I knock "Come in" I hear her say and I walk in "Hey Mai I have some--" "If your here to tell me to forfeit my match don't bother, the others already tried and I told them no" she says boldly "I have no intention of losing" I smile "No I wasn't going to, but I did want tell you something to help you be prepared" I proceed to tell her the incantation even writing it down so she has it and I told her what it does "So incase you somehow have a way to get Ra from him, you'll need that incantation to summon it, ok" I ask her and she gives me a nod & a smile "Thank you, Irene" I smile "No problem Mai" with that I head off to my room and sleep praying tomorrow Mai can win.

*Tomorrow*

1st PoV:

I wake up a few minutes before the match is scheduled to happen and get ready and rush to the spectator's area, soon after the Duel arena rises and the gang starts cheering on Mai and the Duel begins soon, I focus on my Necklace and use its power to peer into the future and use it with my knowledge of canon "events seem the same" I mutter to myself "You say something, Irene" Tea asks "Oh nothing Tea just thinking out loud" I smile she just nods and stares back at the Duel, I head over to Kaiba's side "How is my favorite edge lord doing" I say with a smile, he doesn't even answer me "Why watch so intently when you already know how to defeat Ra" I ask he turns to me and scoffs "As if I trust some info from, 'you'." He says emphasizing the last part "Oh Seto, you wound me so" I say faking a stab to the heart and dramatically leaning back, I can't tell if he's amused or annoyed with a smirk on his face but expressionless eyes "Well, have fun" I pat his back and then head back to the gang and then glancing at the Duel "It's about to reach that time" I mutter "I play Grave Arm to destroy Amazon Chain Master and I can then use her effect to add the Winged Dragon of Ra from your Deck to my hand by paying 1000 LP" I hear Mai state, the Duel goes on for a few more turns until Mai has 3 monsters and tributes them "I summon the Winged Dragon of Ra" she summons it and the sphere appears "What?" She states, "Shit, she lost her memory of that, " I proclaim in my head, and Marik laughs."You don't know the incantation to summon it, but I do..., Oh--" "Hold on Marik," I state "Mai check your pockets" she looks confused but does so anyway to Marik's confusion and she reaches and pulls out a paper marked "Ra Incantation" she smiles "Thanks whoever you are" I smile "Jokes on you," she says turning her attention to Marik, she glances at the paper and reads the Incantation to Marik's shock "Great beast of the sky, please hear my cry. Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight. Envelop the desert with your glow and cast your rage upon my foe. Unlock your powers from deep within so that together we may win. Appear in this Shadow Game as I call out your name, Winged Dragon of Ra!" As soon as she finishes the incantation the orb begins to shift and change and form into Ra's true form while Marik just watches with a horrified face that also contains shock "I win" Mai boldly declares "Winged Dragon of Ra, Attack" she shouts and it strikes one of Marik's monsters finishing his LP "NOOOOO!" Marik shouts before collapsing on the floor

Mai shouts victorious "I won, and now I have an Egyptian God Card" She runs up to us having regained her memories and embraced me "Thank you so much, Irene, for the Incantation" I just laugh "No problem" Ishizu walks up to us "You, you saved the world" she says giving me & Mai a shocked expression "Well that might be true but we still need to finish this tournament so the Pharoah has a chance at the God Card's" I state she only nodded "And seeing as Marik & Odion are incapacitated and Bakura has vanished the only match loser left for A- the Pharoah to face is you, Ishizu" she nods "Well I forfeit my match" she says loudly so Kaiba and his goons could hear "Then we can move straight on to the next phase of the Finals" Kaiba tells his goons "Yes Sir" they say and begin setting the proper preparations, I leave Mai to talk to the others and head over to Seto "How long has it been since you went to that Island" I could see a bit of shock in his eyes then he masked it "Not long enough" I smirk "Well I hope I can get the chance to beat you in the finals" he laughs "Good Luck with that, you couldn't beat me even on my worse day" I smile and pat his shoulder "Whatever you say dear" I then return to my friends and discuss our plans for the Finals and after this is all over with.

I then head to my room and await the dreaded Noah Arc "Ugh, don't make me participate" I hold up the Millennium Rod I grabbed from the unconscious Marik earlier "You only obey those without malice intent" I proclaim and it glows. "I'll take that as a yes"
