Chapter 12: The showdown of a Lifetime

1st PoV:

After Joey & Mai finished their Duel which ended up with Mai winning after barely being able to summon Ra "So she's in the Finals now" I mutter as I approach the arena where Me, Kaiba, & Yugi will be facing off "Let's try and beat them" I mutter trying to boost my confidence "This will follow anime logic meaning, once either Obelisk or Slifer is out any spell or trap I could use to counter anything will be fucked because of their op immunity to Spells & Traps my only hope could be monster effects which none are super effective" I groan "Well I could try out powering then with Fortune Ladies but Slifer could beat them just by Yugi having more cards" I sigh "Whatever it's my best hope" and I soon arrive and I soon see Kaiba and Yugi appear not too long after "Let's get this over with, Gents" I sigh "I will be taking your God Card Yugi" "I wish you both luck" he says

"May I have the honor of the 1st move Gentlemen?" I ask "Sure," Yugi says "Whatever" Kaiba grunts out "Thank you" I smile "I activate Miracle Stone, and summon Fortune Fairy Hikari in defense mode, I sent a card and end my turn, I assume clockwise rotation?"
F.F. Hikari: Atk: 500/Def: 500
They both nod "My turn" Yugi says "I draw..., I summon Celtic Guard in attack mode, attack Irene's monster"
Celtic Guardian: Atk: 1400/Def: 1200
"When you attack my Hikari you activate Miracle Stone's effect allowing me to draw, and would you look at that, It's Fortune Fairy Chee, I summon her to field increasing the attack of my Fairys by another 500, that's not all when Chee is special summoned everyone gets to draw a card, say thank you" I smirk "Thanks to Chee's effect I drew is Fortune Fairy Ann, allowing me to summon her increasing my Fairies strength once more making them stronger than you Guardian. Not only that I can then banish 1 spellcaster from my Deck, I choose Fortune Lady Light" "I end my turn" He says ending his attack "My turn, Draw, I summon Kaiser Sea Horse"

"I end my turn laying one card face-down and Fortune Rewind activates, shuffling Lady Light back into my deck" they both look at me in shock "That monster almost has enough power to Rival an Egyptian God," Yugi says "Just you wait" I smile "My turn, draw," Yugi says "I activate Dark Magic Curtain, Come Forth Dark Magician"

"I then play the spell, Thousand knives, and destroy your Lady Earth" "That's some anime protag BS" I mutter "By destroying Earth you activate my trap, and you triggered Inherited Fortune, during my next turn I will summon up to 2 Fortune Ladies from hand" "Dark Magician Destroy her Fairy in the Middle" "When you attack Hikari, you activate Miracle Stone allowing me to draw a card" As Dark Magician destroys my monster I draw "I special summon Fortune Fairy Swee and I activate her effect allowing me to banish 1 card until the end of my next turn, I choose Kaiser Sea Horse" Kaiba glances at me "Sorry Sunshine, can't risk Blue-Eyes yet" he just scoffs "I end my turn" Yugi says "My Turn, draw" Kaiba scans his hand "I summon Vorse Raider in defense mode, I set 1 card and end my turn"

"My turn, I draw, and Inherited Fortune Activates, I special Fortune Lady Dark from my hand"

"Lady Dark, get some revenge attack Dark Magician"

"I end my turn, Oh I almost forgot, while Lady Dark is on my field if a Fortune Lady destroys an opponent's monster and send them to the grave I can Special summon one Fortune Lady from the Grave, Return Fortune Lady Earth" "I have myself a good position" I confidently state to myself "My turn, Draw, say hello to the rulers of the cards, I summon Queens Knight and play Double Summon allowing me to Summon Kings Knight and when these 2 are on the field I can special summon Jack's Knight"

"I then play Swords of Revealing light not allowing either of you to attack for 3 turns, I end my turn" "He has 3 material, 3 cards in his hand and 3 turns to draw and stall" I mutter and sigh "Great" "My turn, draw, my Kaiser Sea Horse returns to my field and I play the spell, Monster Reborn to bring back Yugi's Celtic Guardian, I than tribute my 3 monsters to Call forth Obelisk the Tormentor" "Ugh" I watch as his God Card appears "At least we have 3 turns to live" "I end my turn" He says "My turn, draw, both my Fortune Ladies attack go up as there level increase, and when Earth's level increases you both take 300 LP damage

"I forgot how much my deck is based around Carly, both iterations" I mutter drawing my boss monster "I play the field spell Masoleun of the Emporer, Then I tribute Fortune Lady Earth & Fortune Lady Dark," I say as a gigantic stone heart appears above and starts pulsing to the shock of both of my opponent's and everyone watching, "After 5000 years the Gates to the Netherworld open, Appear Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu" the heart then disappears "Wh-where's your monster" Yugi stutters while Kaiba is still shell-shocked "You might wanna look behind you," I say as they both turn to see a massive eye opening up that is luminescent Orange it then backs up and appears on my side of the field letting out its bellowing shriek causing a storm of wind to surge blowing away full piles of junk that lies below

"I end my turn" they soon compose themselves "My turn," yugi says "I draw" "One turn of Swords down" I mutter "I sacrifice Jack's Knight, Kings Knight, & Queens Knight..." "Here we go" "I summon Slifer the Sky Dragon"

I see him contemplating attacking me but doesn't wanna risk what I could draw "I end my turn" He states "I activate trap, DNA Surgery, making all monsters on the field Spellcasters"
E.B.I. Aslla Piscu: Atk:4000/Def:4000
"My turn" Kaiba states "I draw, I set 1 card, and end my turn" "My turn, I draw, I special summon from my hand, Fortune Fairy Swee, boosting all my spell casters by 500 again and I choose not to activate her effect"

"I set a card and activate the spell card Mystical Space Typhoon, destroying your Swords of Revealing Light" I shout "I now attack you Directly Yugi" his eyes go wide "I have a monster on the field" "I don't care, I activate Aslla Piscu's effect allowing it to attack directly" Aslla Piscu screeches sending a blast at Yugi that wipes his LP and blows him back a bit

"I win, Kaiba" he scoffs "As if all I have to do is get rid of your oversized chicken" I smirk "Well Bock Bock, play your last pathetic card" I say imitating him "If you say so, Draw," he frowns "I end my turn" "Ooo~, didn't draw the card you needed?" He just growls under his breath "I attack you directly with Aslla Piscu, Let's end this duel" Again, Aslla Piscu screeches wiping out Obelisk and Kaiba's LP

"It was a fun duel" I smile holding out, he hesitantly holds out his hand "Tell me, I had no chance at stopping you" I smile "Nope~," I say popping the P "Aslla Piscu can not be targeted for battle, you would've had to attack one of my Fairies and would've lost regardless" he genuinely laughs which shocks me "You are an interesting person Irene, and someday I'm going to beat you to get those God Cards" I smile "I'll be awaiting your challenge Seto" I lie knowing it would be for the best to give the cards to Yugi he smirks "Now do me a favor and win, so when I beat you I can get all the God's at once" I salute with a laugh "Will do Sunshine" "Stop calling me that" he groans "Never" I approach the gang "What was that monster, Irene" Yugi, Joey, & Tea ask in almost Unison "Just a little something I had up my sleeve that I never thought I was going to use" Joey & Tea nod and except that as an answer "What exactly is the Netherworld" Yugi asks "Huh?" I asked faking confusion "You said while summoning your monster 'after 5000 years the Gates to the Netherworld Open' or something similar," he says confidently, I just laugh "I don't remember saying that Yugi, aha I don't think I did" I try and laugh it off "If you say so," he says.

"Well, I best get prepared for tomorrow," I say, heading off to rest. Once far enough and off on my own, I focus my hands, encompassing the eye of my Necklace "Necklace..., wohS em ym tsap ni siht dlrow fi ti stsixe" my eyes roll to the back of my head and I have a vision of me as an infant with nannies as my parents were always busy "ekat em kcab rehtruf" I say and I end up somewhere I wasn't expecting "Atlantis" I mutter "So I'm a reincarnation in this world," I say as a watch a young girl holding an Orichalcos stone fragment and she is focusing and I watch as wings of Green Energy sprout from her back "So I was talented with a shard" I mutter before she takes flight off into the night I follow after her and sees her fly all the way out into the desert before she lands in front of a familiar young boy who is wearing his Egyptian clothing, I watch them converse for a bit before I exit the Vision and return to the present, "Useful info, will definitely be wise to look into that"

I yawn. "I best get some sleep"
