Don't Do It - (Donnie x Reader)

New Years

Y/N POV

Christmas went smoothly and my break is coming close to an end. I wish that I didn't have to go to school. I've been spending a lot of time in the lair with everyone, and I haven't seen April recently which is odd but eh. Today is New Year's Eve and I think I'm going to kiss Donnie at midnight. Maybe if I make the first move, he will be more open about his feelings. I don't plan on doing it with everyone around. I'm hoping we can watch the ball drop on my phone in his lab. It's only 6 pm, why can't time GO FASTER!!!!

Donnie POV

Man why isn't this project working?!? "Hey Donnie, how's it going?" Y/n walks in my lab. "Not so good... I can't figure out what I need to do for this to work." They walk over next to me and look over my shoulder. "It looks like these two wires aren't connected." I turn it over and low and behold the wires ended up unplugging. "Thanks..." I blush a bit and plug in the wires and put the object in my drawer. "What did you need Y/N?" I turn towards them. "Well, I don't know if you guys have ever celebrated New Years but I want to celebrate with you. I told my dad that I'm spending the night at a friends house so yeah." I see a faint blush creep on their checks. "Oh! Yeah, sure. What do people normally do?" "We count down from 10 and watch the ball drop to start off the new year. Some people take shots but we aren't 21 so we can't do that." They smile at me. "Sure! That sounds kinda fun. Maybe I'll be more into it when I do it." Y/n stays and we talk until its almost time to watch the ball drop. 

Y/N POV

I'm sooo nervous. I know that he likes me so I can't chicken out because of nerves. I turn on a live yt video of time square. "There are still a couple minutes till the drop but watching a little bit of the video is ok." I look over at Donnie, who is focusing on what is going on. Oh yeah, he's never been able to see it because of all the people. There is a first time for everything. "Oh they're getting ready to do the count down."

I turn over to him and smash our lips together. It felt like we were right under the fireworks. I never wanted this to end and soon I felt Donnie melt into it. We let go for air. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. People kiss when midnight hits." He starts to laugh. "Yeah, I think I got that."
