Over the timespan of a year seemingly drifted by for [Y/N] and her brothers while they stayed at Winterfell, during that time [Y/N] had grown especially close to the Stark children, besides Sansa of course. Sansa and [Y/N] had a different relationship than the rest of the Stark children because of the red-haired girls tendences to relay to the [H/C] older girl of her distaste for her being in her home, it wasn't a secret that Sansa disliked [Y/N] after all everyone that had eyes could see the tension between the two girls whenever they were in the vicinity of one another.

[Y/N] spent most of her time helping out wherever needed or in the courtyard training with the others although most of the men their which she went up against thought she couldn't possibly win against them but ended up on the floor with her as the victor, now, everyone at Winterfell knew not to mess with Lady [Y/N] of house [L/N].

Whenever she had time to herself, [Y/N] would sneek of into the woods nearby with a book that she could read in peace up in a tree only to mostly than not be tracked down 15 minutes later by Jon and his dire wolf, Ghost. The two had become exceptionally close thanks to her brothers forcing them to spend time with them most days until the two eventually spent time together without the brothers present, oftenly found sat under a tree somewhere in the woods nearby talking and laughing about interests or hobbies of theirs.

So, it wasn't a surprise when the two started to secretly develop feelings for one another. However once Jon had revealed that he had intensions on joining the brotherhood at castle Black at the Wall, it wasn't a surprise the two got into an argument which led to [Y/N] ignoring the dark-haired lad for a couple of months until it came to the last month before he had leave. Rowen and Axle both noticed the extreme tension between Jon and their sister, so they decided to see what was going on but once Jon revealed why the two brothers understood instantly, after explaining to their friend why [Y/N] was acting so out of sorts and ignoring Jon it was like it finally clicked.

It finally came to the day that the King and Queen was visiting Winterfell, everyone was busy preparing for their arrival but for the [L/N] siblings they were dreading the arrival of their father's oldest friend, Robert Baratheon. The two houses were great friends for generations until Robert decided to course a rebellion against House Targaryen which was ruling over the 7 kingdoms, in that battle was when their father gave his life for what he believed in.

The royal carriage and guard escort made their way through the gates of Winterfell where they came to a stop before the family excited the carriage while Robert went over to great the Starks and his old friend Eddard, not far from the Starks that's all lined up as they greeted the king was the [L/N] siblings lined up also, once Robert noticed the siblings he made his way over and stood in front of them as they bowed their heads in respect.

Robert)"My, how you've all grown! You boys remind me of your father when we were your age, and [Y/N], you are the spitting image of your mother. Absolutely stunning. I wouldn't be surprised you'd have men falling at your feet soon."

"Thank you, your majesty. It is wonderful to see that you are in great health and well."

With a boisterous laugh Robert waved off the formality's as he told them to speak freely as they pleased like they did before the rebellion although [Y/N] only but a baby then so she didn't remember much of that time, once Catelyn showed the Royals inside of Winterfell everyone went back to work either that be taking the horses to the stables or their normal duties.

However, for [Y/N] she gave her brothers a glance before walking off in the direction of the woods needing some space and time alone which the brothers understood and let her go, although they also spotted Jon trail after her also but didn't stop him knowing the two needed some space to sort things out.

The two walked pretty deep into the woods all the while [Y/N] knew that Jon was following behind her, she couldn't bare ignoring him any longer so when she sharply turned around and came face to face with the man she's come to hold so dear only a few feet apart from her, gritting her jaw in frustration and clenching her fists tightly while staring the man down in front of her for what felt like forever before taking a step forward then another and another before her steps picked up speed. Before she knew it, she had run towards Jon and flung her arms around his neck tightly gripping his cloak while barring her face into his neck.

Instantly his arms wrapped around her waist securely without a trace of leaving any time soon as he softly stroked her hair while he whispered that he wasn't going anywhere soon, they settled down under a big oak tree in each other's arms and comfort just enjoying the little time they had together finally feelings out in the open even without physically saying them they both knew what the other was feeling, they both stayed out there until dark before deciding to go back because of the feast.

From that moment until the night before Jon had to leave [Y/N] was stuck to his side like glue which ended up with them spending his last night at Winterfell in blissful and passante love making, the next morning [Y/N] decided to keep a strong facade while saying her goodbyes not only to Jon but to her godfather and the two Stark daughters.

She gave Arya a big hug before telling the younger girl to be careful while in King's Landing because of her personal experiences there, then moved onto Sansa which she only gave her a brief nod and fake smile before moving onto her godfather that gave her a smile and a loving hug as he told her to "stay strong and never let anyone beat her in a fight".

Then the dreaded last goodbye she was so wishing not to do, it was Jon's turn. Walking over to where her brothers was both giving Jon a manly hug before their attention landed on the girl as she stood watching them say their goodbyes, Rowen whispered to Jon while he hugged him that he better not make his sister cry which only made him gulp as he knew it was a threat, walking over to the girl she wasted no time and pulled him into a hug that he returned just as tightly nether one wanted to do this goodbye but Jon knew he had too as he belonged at Castle Black.

Pulling apart alittle he lent his forehead on hers as he whispered that he was hers no matter what happened, those simple word made her want to cry but she kept strong and replied to the same words to him too scared she wouldn't see him again anytime soon, placing a gentle kiss to her forehead before stepping back from her completely so he could climb up onto his horse so he could leave but once he was settled in his saddle [Y/N] grabbed his hand placing something in it then folding his fingers into a fist and kissing his hand.

"I'll write to you, I promise."

Jon)"As I will to you"

Their whole interaction didn't get missed by Eddard Stark and his wife; they were both glad their goddaughter had finally found love but alittle worried that it was Jon, which was the one she found it in. For Eddard it was because he knew the truth behind Jon's birth, and he was worried it would pose a concern later on once Jon found out but for Catelyn it was because she knew that [Y/N] was really fragile at heart although she put on a strong facade.

Soon all leaving parties had left Winterfell's gates onto their different destinations leaving the old fortress castle to fell that bit less active and lively, with bran still asleep and hadn't yet to awaken from that fall from the tower it left everyone fearful that he may not make it. The incoming months shall prove difficult to all, will Bran make it? What does [Y/N] have in store in her future?
