Wednesdays are the worst.  It's in the middle of the week and your close to the weekend but still far away.  I hate Wednesdays. Wednesday are in the middle of the week where everything is moving so slow it feels like an entire month has gone by, when it has only been a few hours.

My classes are boring as shit too, but at least I remembered to take my meds this morning. "McCart, Erin." I heard my name called for attendance. I picked my head up from the desk, raising my hand in the process. "Here." I said loud enough so the old teacher could hear me. The teacher looked up at me and then back to their piece of paper.

The teacher finished attendance, standing up from their chair and walking over to the smart board. "Alright, open your books..." The teacher said.

The day crawled by. It was terrible.

The final bell rang signaling to everyone that we were aloud to go to our dorms, or in my case, back to Leonardo's house. Over the past days he's been really nice to me and I have picked up some Italian phrases.

"Erin could you stay after please." The teacher said quickly, before I had a chance to grab any of my stuff. "Yes Miss." I said trying to hide my sadden tone. I didn't want to stay here I wanted to go to Leonardo's house let the dogs cuddle all around me and sleep the rest of the day away, but now that can't happen.

I packed my stuff together, leaving it at my desk I headed down to the teachers desk. "You wanted to see me miss?" I said confused to why she would want to see me. My grades are good I don't know why she would talk to me about this stuff. "Yes, Erin, I want you to move up to AP." She said a smile plastered on her wrinkled face. "You want me to go to AP, why?" I asked. She pushed her round glasses up her face.

"Well you have the best grade in this class, it also seems like this class is a bit to easy for you." She said her eyes fixing on me. If I am being honest her class is a bit to easy for me. I do love challenges and if it is too much for me I can always drop back down to her honors maths.

"What do I have to do to be moved up to AP?" I asked. She handed me a thick packet. "All you have to do is complete this packet in 2 hours." She said and then continued, "if you can do that I'll move you up." She said. I looked at her and then back at the packet. "Yeah I'll try, but I don't know how well I'll do." I said truthfully. "You'll do fine." She said handing me the packet and waving me off.

I finished with 21 minutes remaining. I thought I was going to complete it faster but apparently there was stuff that she hadn't taught us about that I had to learn on the fly. I hope I did good. I handed her the test, she looked up and gave me a big smile. "Wait here until I finished correcting." She said opening a small draw and pulling out a purple pen.

"Well you got an 80%."  She said handing me back the test.  "You could move up to the AP class."  She said another smile creeping across her face.  "I would love to move up to the AP class."  I said happily.  Normal people hated doing extra work but I loved it, it challenged me a pushed me beyond my limits.

"Alright, I'll email the teacher about the change, since you'd drop maths tomorrow report to room 470."  The teacher said pulling out her computer and opening it.  "I will, thank you."  I said picking up my bag and leaving the class as I heard her starting to type on her computer.

That was one eventful day.

I let out a sigh as I opened the college doors to the New York City air that could always pull me toward the more green areas.  I closed my eyes slowly and took in everything.  The birds singing, the horns beeping, and- and something ringing in my pocket.

My phone!

Snapping my eyes open I reached my hand into my pocket of my pants and pulled out a phone.  The same phone that Leonardo had gotten me.  Speaking of Leonardo, he was calling me.  I placed my thumb on the answer key and swiped right.

I put the phone to my ear as the call connected.  "Hey Leonardo."  I greeted, I brushed a piece of hair out of my face, smiling when I heard Leonardo's thick Italian filled voice come through the speaker.  "Il mio cucciolo (my puppy), where are you?"  He asked.  I still have no idea what he was saying at the beginning of the sentence.  I should look it up.  "I am coming back from college."  I answered him.  I heard Leonardo let out a sigh, probably of relief.

"Why are you still there and not home?"  Leonardo asked me, I was walking past the college crescent, making my way to the entrance.  "My maths teacher wanted me to take a test so I could move up to AP class."  I said happily as the snow started to fall.  I stuck my tongue out to catch one and it melted on impact.

"What, is an AP class higher than honors?"  Leonardo asked as he let out a sigh.  "Yeah, my teacher thought that I was ready for a challenge."  I answered.  I walked out of the college entrance waving goodbye to the security guard.  "Well how did you do?"  Leonardo asked.  I walked to the right heading home.  "I got an 80% and it's high enough for me to move to the AP class."  I said walking down the street and kicking some powdery snow with my shoe.

"Well do you need me to pick you up?"  Leonardo asked me.  I shook my head while answering him.  "No, I wanna enjoy the snow.  You could come and meet me on the way to your house."  I offered, once again pushing hair out of my face.  "Yeah sure," Leonardo said.  I heard a click sound from behind me.  I turned my head to look behind me pretending to be looking for my car.

I saw a guy in all black walking at a fast pace towards me.  He was holding something in his hands, that were shoved in his black hoodie pocket. My heart was beating a mile a minute and my breathing was uneven.  "Erin, are you ok?"  Leonardo asked me softly.  His voice was what brought me back to reality and made me remember what was going on.  I walked quickly down the street.  "Leonardo, there is someone following me."  I gasped out, my breath coming back to me.

"What!" Leonardo yelled than instantly changed his tone of voice. "Where are you?" He asked, I looked behind me and saw the person gaining on me. I began to lightly run to try and get away.

"The corner of 4th and 7th." I panted out scared for my life. I heard Leonardo calling for Diego. "Where is Diego?"  Leonardo asked someone who was around him.  "Fine."  Leonardo sighed and I heard rushing over the phone, probably Leonardo heading to the garage.  "Leonardo," I whispered into the phone, "he's gaining on me."  I whispered scared-ly into the phone.

"Cazzo (Fuck)!"  Leonardo yelled as I heard him start up the loud engine.  "I am on my way!  Look for me on the bike!"  Leonardo yelled.  I looked over my shoulder to see that the person had disappeared.  "Leonardo, I think he's one."  I whispered coming to a stop.  I heard the engine from over the phone.

"That's good, do you see-"  The phone was knocked out of my hand, as a cloth was placed over my mouth.  I tried to scream for Leonardo, but it was no use the cloth had chloroform on it.  I saw black spots surround my vision, as I heard a motorcycle engine rev from somewhere.  I couldn't tell, the blackness was slowly surrounding me and I felt myself fade into darkness.  "Erin!!"  I heard someone yelled before I lost consciousness.
