Awakening.

3rd person view

In a galaxy far, far away. We see a hulking purple monster in a tube. Wounded, burned, broken and worst of all humiliated. That, is the Mad Titan, Thanos. Over the span of 3 weeks, there has been no change in his behavior, his mental state or in his recovery. That is, until last night.

Last night

We see Ebony Maw walk through the halls of the huge space ship. He walks through a never-ending hall until he finally reaches his destination. The med bay. The location where the great Thanos is recuperating.  He looks at his lord, then at his subordinates.

Ebony Maw: Has there been any change?

Doctor: No, lord Maw. There have been no changes.

Ebony Maw: Continue your work.

Doctor: Yes, my lord.

Ebony Maw walks through the med bay and enters a room by the name "cybernetics". 

Ebony Maw: Proxima.

Proxima Midnight looks away from her work and looks towards her companion.

Proxima Midnight: What do you want?

Ebony Maw: I wish to know where we are with the cybernetics.

Proxima Midnight: We are nowhere near close to completion. We are nowhere near to even start!

She slams her arms on the table in a fist of rage.

Ebony Maw: What do you mean?

Corvus Glaive: She means that we do not have the materials needed to rebuild Thanos.

Ebony Maw: That is "lord" Thanos to you.

Corvus Glaive: Open your eyes Maw. we lost 1/3 of our forces. They were not destroyed by enemy battleships, rather they deserted. With lord Thanos in a tube, while on life support no less, we all look weak. How can you fear something that already has one foot in the grave? Simple answer is, you can't. The universe isn't afraid of him any longer. All they see is a beaten and broken man. A man who once called himself God.

Ebony Maw was not pleased with what he had heard. A member of the Black Order, talking about his lord like that.

Ebony Maw: You had better pick your next words very carefully Corvus or--

Corvus Glaive: Or what? You're going to kill me? You are going to kill me? Hahaha! Don't make me laugh Maw! You wouldn't even be able to touch me.

Ebony Maw had heard enough and had readied himself for a fight, as did Corvus Glaive.

Ebony Maw: I will skin you alive and present you to lord Thanos as a gift!

Corvus Glaive: I would like to see you try little man!

Proxima Midnight had readied her weapon and pointed it to Ebony Maw's neck.

Proxima Midnight: Stand down Maw. I do not wish to kill you.

Ebony Maw: I am not surprised Proxima. You would always choose your mate. Now we know where your loyalty stands.

Proxima Midnight: I will always be loyal to lord Thanos. Now and forever.

Doctor: Excuse me? Lord Maw.

Ebony Maw: What is it?

Doctor: There was a sudden spike in lord Thanos' brain waves.

Everyone looked at him with shock in their eyes.

Corvus Glaive: What happened?

Doctor: We don't know. It could be anything. It could range from him suddenly being in pain to him trying to slowly wake up.
