Katherine's POV
Finally it was Saturday. The week had passed by slowly, too slowly for my liking. Every freaking day I would try to surprise Amy in some way. Sometimes I'd bring her lunch, sometimes I'd give her a gift, usually a book I know she's been wanting. But most of all we talked.
We talked for hours about random things or our project. I could see that she was slowly warming up to the idea that I could be trusted. Although every time I tried to ask something remotely close to personal subjects she'd brush me away.
I learned that I have to be patient with her. She's clearly damaged. She was like a scared little fawn. Any wrong movement and she'd run and hide.
But I was determined to break her walls. I was determined to get to her. After all, I needed to if I wanted her to trust me. And today, today, I had something special planned for her.
Earlier this week she told me that she worked in a Pet Shop downtown. I looked it up and found out where it was. Today I was going to surprise her. I was going to show up at her job and take her for lunch. I had already gotten a reserve in one of the best restaurants in town.
I smiled brightly, that would definitely shake her a bit. I noticed that she wasn't used to this kind of stuff. People never took the time to get near her. And I guess that was a scary thought for her, she never experienced something like that.
I got up and stretched lazily. Amy should be on her way to her job right about now. I still had some time to get ready.
I walked downstairs lazily still in my pyjamas. I couldn't smell the sweet aroma of eggs and fresh fried bacon. And that could only mean one thing. My parents had gone in one of their business trip, again. I sighed and entered the kitchen. There was one single note glued to the fridge.
"Sweetie, me and papa had to go on a small trip. We had some business to handle, nothing to worry about. We will be back in a few days. Love, Mama and Papa."
I rolled my eyes and opened the fridge. I ended up settling for milk and cereal. I wasn't exactly a good cook so it was better not to try anything. We really should start having servants here on the weekends. I couldn't understand how my parents didn't want it. It's not like we couldn't afford it.
I finished my cereal bitterly and threw the used utensils on the sink. I went up to my room. Finding something nice to wear on my "date" with Amy would cheer me up a bit.
I went straight to my closet as I got into my room. I browsed through my incredibly huge amount of clothes getting more frustrated at every second. I had nothing to wear. Ironic really, because I had more clothes than a freaking store.
It freaked me out how much effort I was putting into this. I guess I just really wanted to get the hell over with this. I kept looking at my clothes with a blank mind for a while. I shouldn't be worried, anything I'd wear would sweep her out of her feet.
I finally settled for a dark blue short dress and black high heels. I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and applied some make up. Once I was happy with how I looked I put down the brushes and got out of the bathroom. I finished up by applying some perfume.
I then got my purse, car keys and the house key. I locked it once I got out seeing that I was the only one in the house. I then got in my car and started it. I put the address of the pet shop Amy worked in on the GPS. I was sure I wouldn't be able to find it on my own. I wasn't used to driving in that part of town.
Amy's POV
Movement was slow today. Barely any dogs or cats came in. I was sitting in the back talking with Manuel when Jim came to the back and called for me.
