Katherine's POV
The drive to Manuel's house was no short from awkward, we drove in silence, but not the usual comforting silence that I usually experienced with Amy. The air around us clung heavily with anxiousness. Too many questions in all of our minds, and not nearly enough answers.
The only sound I heard was the low classing rock songs playing on the radio and the hum of my Rolls-Royce Ghost's engine. I had taken it instead of the Porsche because deep down I knew that Manuel would be tagging along. And even though I was still not completely fond of him, I saw how much of a loyal friend he was to Amy, so I decided that I would call a truce. He made her happy, and that was all that mattered.
I parked in front of Manuel's house, he was the first one to get out, muttering a small 'goodbye Kate' as he did so. Amy watched as he left and turned towards me. A bright smile on her face.
"Thanks for coming with me Kate." She said and I smiled back.
"Don't mention it, it was my pleasure." I answered and she grinned.
She quickly kissed me goodbye and was about to get out of the car too, but I held he by her wrist, preventing her to. She looked back, puzzled. I had to force myself not to smirk, it just had been too long without her. It had been two days since we got back from the lake house and we really didn't have any time to be properly together since, I was going crazy.
"Come back home with me." I said, it wasn't really a question, I just wanted her already.
"My parents are going on a trip today, we'll have the house to ourselves." I added, whispering seductively in her ear. She immediately blushed ten shades of red, but nodded. I smirked victoriously.
"Amy, aren't you coming?" Manuel asked, it took all of my willpower not to blurt something along the lines of 'Don't worry, she will be, soon enough.' But Amy answered before I had the chance.
"I'm going to Kate's house, I should be back for dinner though." She said and once again I smirked, not if I can help it. I thought with a grin. Manuel eyed me carefully but just nodded.
"Okay, have fun you two. See you when you get back Ames." He shrugged and turned, starting to walk towards the house.
"So, ready to meet the parents?" I asked and she immediately blushed. I was starting to think that when it came to Amy, that was something I would have to get used to. Not that I minded though, I thought it was extremely cute.
"As ready as I'll ever be." She answered with a dread and I grinned brightly.
I was happy, finally Amy was going to meet my parents. It had taken me some time to convince her, but finally she accepted. The only condition being that we were not going to disclose the fact that we were dating, at least not yet. I had been taken aback by that, but I understood the reasoning behind it. She was terrified, she wanted to be completely sure of our relationship before we actually told them about it. And even though I was ready to tell the world we were together, I was still going to respect her wishes and wait until she was ready. But that didn't mean that I couldn't introduce her as my friend.
I drove in silence, listening as Amy hummed along the radio. I had to be frank, her good taste in music was such a turn on! I mean, here I was sitting by her side as she singed along to Bon Jovi's You Give Love A Bad Name, and I couldn't hold back the grin on my face. I was going to marry that girl someday.
"You're awfully quiet." Amy said, we've often fell into comfortable silence when we were in the car, but I guess she was too nervous for that right now.
"Just thinking about how much I love you." I answered and she broke into the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. God, I didn't deserve her.
"You've always had a good way with words, haven't you?" She asked grinning and I smirked.
