Laff's POV

I walk into the kitchen, rubbing my eyes groggily. I just woke up from a two hour nap and I feel exhausted. It's around 4 pm now. I make my way to the fridge, squinting as I open it due to the light in contrast to the darker room. I scan inside but groan and slam it shut, "Nothing good..." I whimper and sit down at the table, frustrated and hungry. I slam my head on the table. I hear someone walk in the room, "You okay Laf?" I know that chuckle, it's Alexander. One of my three roommates. I had four but... Let's just say he and Alex didn't get along.  I groan louder and whine, "There's nothingggggggg to eat!!!" I can FEEL the eye roll as he makes his way to the cupboard. I hear him grab a bowl and pour something into it, making his way to the fridge after. He pulls something out, adding it to the mixture I assume and placing it back in the fridge. He closes it gently.

He walks over and sits down next to me, I look up and see what he has. It's Cinnamon Toasties!! I look at Alex with puppy dog eyes. He rolls his and shakes his head, "I thought there was nothing to eat." I scoff, "Bien, sois comme ça." I get up and go do the same as him. We then eat together in silence. But.. It's not awkward. It's more of one of those 'I'm enjoying your presence, silence.'

I am a fast eater, so I had my bowl already in the sink when Alex finished. When he got up, I thought nothing of it and decided to text Herc, my best friend. I heard the rain start to bang onto the windows. I smiled at the sound, rain always comforted me. I wonder why Alex isn't back yet? I hear a boom of thunder and smile more, until I hear something smash onto the ground. I spin around in my chair and see Alex, with his head hanging to the floor. Broken glass surrounding him in pieces on the floor. "Alex?" I throw on my slippers because Alex is barefooted and I go over to him. I lift him up, but he thrashes and sobs in protest. I frown and bring him over to the couch. He flails in my arms and I drop him onto the couch and sit next to his head, "Alexander, Mon Ami. What is the problem?" He looks up at me and opens his mouth, tears streaming down his face. He's just about to say something but a loud thunder clap interrupts him. He screams and clings onto me, "Alex!" I hug him. "Tell me what's wrong so I can help!" I say, worry flooding my voice.

He begins rambling utter nonsense. I bite my lip from stress and turn the TV on. I turn up whatever channel may be playing all the way up and hug him tighter. I whisper quietly in his ear, sweet little french nothings. He calms down a bit and stutters something quietly, "I-I....don't li- like...storms...." I nod and pull his  face up so his eyes meet mine, "It's okay, Mon ami. I'm right here, alright?" He nods back to me, hiccuping a small, 'thank you.'

I keep comforting him until about halfway through the storm. I smile as I look down at his sleeping figure, now curled up. His head lays on my lap and I stroke his black messy hair.  I blush at the sight of his chest moving up and down slowly. I lay my head back and chuckle, feeling myself drift to sleep.

I open my eyes and all I see is Alex. No, seriously, our noses are touching. I can't see anything else. "Mon Ami?" I question. He backs up, "Oh- Sorry." He laughs, "I thought it would be funny if you woke up like that.." I smile, "It was! Just... spooky." He nods and a small grin appears on his face, he looks down. "Thank you, Laf. You really helped." I nod and kiss his cheek, "Bien sur, mon ami!" Is he... blushing? Nah...
