Recap

I turned around to see the last person I'd wish I'd seen. I gasped in shock. What is he doing here?

~~~~~
"What are you doing here?" I muttered under my breath.
"I left my wallet here. I needed to come get it. Then I saw you play so I thought I'd stay to watch," Luke smiled but frowned quickly and looked at the ground. "I'm sorry if you didn't want me to see it."
"It's fine but I beg you please with all my heart and soul don't tell anyone! NOT EVEN JAI OR BEAU OR ANY SOUL!"
He only chuckled. What's so funny? I'm being dead serious right now. I sat down on the stage and he sat down beside me. What is this? Simon says?
Luke has been acting strange the past few days. Especially on that picnic day with Jai and he just suddenly comes up to us. I really find that peculiar of him.
"We don't you want to let anyone know your hidden talent? You're really good!"
"It's a long story"
"I've got time"
"But I don't. I got to go um... Feed my cat" I lied. Such a great excuse Ally!
"Ally. It's only been three hours in school and you're gonna feed your cat? Plus, you don't even have one. Come on tell me" he slipped his hands out to match with mine. I pulled away and sat silent.
"Look. I know we broke up but you know I still love you eventhough I've got Arya. But that doesn't keep me away from being you're best friend. We will never part no matter what. Just because we don't talk for the past three years doesn't mean I'm a stranger to you. Now tell me what's troubling you. I'll help I promise" he spoke gently as he entwined our fingers together.
We looked at each other in the eye. I love his brown glittery eyes. They just make my heart melt. This is unusual but I can tell people's personality through their eyes.
I pulled away. I couldn't tell him. Tears welled up in my eyes.
"I'm sorry"
I got up and grabbed my bag as I made my way to the exit.
"Wait!"
I didn't. The hot tears that I've been holding back finally coursed down my cheeks.
I could hear him calling my name as he tried to catch me. I kept on further till I got to my dorm which was just a level from the music room.
I couldn't tell him. At least not now.
*****
It was chem class now but I decided to skip it. I felt feverish and my back was in huge pain and some other symptoms, so I went straight to the nurse'.
"So. I heard you saved Jade from that bullying?" Mrs Serina, the nurse, asked.
I nodded my head. Mrs Serina was my favourite nurse. I was her daily customer. At least I used to. Till this kid named, Freeda Jammersbert beat me to it. She always had to go to the nurse because she had some sort of illness for god knows what it is. She made me wait a long time before it was my turn to be treated. I hated waiting worse than listening to Mrs Golt Wagen, my science teacher.
She rested the back of her hand on my forehead.
"Kind of hot"
But I really felt sick. I could just faint. And that's what I did right after.
*****
I woke up to see that I was in the hospital surrounded by a group of people.
Luke, Jai, Beau, Jade, Perrie, Libby and Mrs Serina. Everyone was on a chair or on the floor facing the ground.
" what's going on?" I spoke softly.
"She's awake!" Jade shook from her trance when she heard me considering she was the closest to me.
Everyone hugged me as Mrs Serina called the doctor.
When it came to Mrs Serina to give me a hug, she reluctantly did so. I have her a confused looked.
Then a doctor appeared behing her.
Everyone kept silent. Perrie was squeezing my hand as the doctor opened up to speak. I kept silent waiting for the news.
He then said," Ally. I'm sorry to say. You have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)"
