This story is about to get a dark turn as the police dogs are searching for the scent of a rampaging monster that haunts Jericho and its citizens. Wednesday passed out from being out of breath and with everything happening all at the same time, fortunately, Y/N carried her away from where the poor Rowan got murdered.

Salem as always, kept her vision focused on the commotion in the forest as Sherrif Galpin along with a hound of dogs traced what seems to be a non-existent beast. Not a footprint or a clue could help them decipher this mystery and all they could get are the smell of coffee grounds.

After hours of no progress, they left the area and resigned for tonight. They were leaving the investigation to be continued for tomorrow.

While all that was happening, Y/N along with Yoko, and Enid settled the unconscious Wednesday on her bed.

"What happened? And what is this file for?" Enid asks and in her hand what seems to be a cold case file, Y/N sees it and snatches it away from her grasp. The name printed on the side written was "Gomez Addams"

"It's hers, best if we do not pry on it," Y/N explains as she placed the folder on the mahogany desk. Enid nods and sits on the edge of Wednesday's bed her back against the unconscious goth, "I don't understand, why would Rowan try to kill Wednesday? Seems too out of context considering that both of you are new here." Yoko inserts, her back leaning against the wall.

Y/N was contemplating whether to bluntly state the obvious of what was hidden in Wednesday's jacket pockets. But until she knows for sure these two girls are trustworthy, then for now she'll lie and hope they believe her.

"I don't know, I just saw her knocked out on the ground," A lie

"Rowan is dead, something killed him," Wednesday interjects, all three heads turn to her.

Enid gasps surprised "Jeez, roomie. Do you make it a habit of scaring the crap out of people?"

A smirk curls up on her lip, "More like a hobby" Wednesday says, getting up from the bed and then sitting on her chair and opening the folder. "Now that she's awake, I am out of here." Yoko exits, Y/N follows but pauses to look back to Wednesday who does not give an inch of care for the Witch and what happened in that forest. "Come on, Y/N" Yoko calls out and Y/N follows her out of their room.

"Ahh, my little scorpion..."

"How could you miss a dead body" Wednesday monotonously asks, as Y/N, Weems, and Sherrif Galpin walked together to the Headmistress' office to discuss what happened the night before.

Galpin sighs, "Because there wasn't one. No footprints, no blood, no sign of struggle. Yada–yada" He replies, "And you," He turns to Y/N stopping halfway across the stairs. "Can you attest to this?"

"Positive, Sheriff. When I found Wednesday, I saw Rowan's corpse along with Wednesday." The Witch answers, fidgeting with her fingers. All her life, Y/N was just an audience to anything extensive going around wherever she goes; now? She's a third party to this situation, and she sticks by it, she made a self-oath to protect Wednesday to make up for how she left Goody.

Weems saw this and placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder, giving her a kind smile.

"If you found nothing, then maybe you didn't search right," Wednesday says as she looks at the Sheriff with deadpanned eyes of agitation. "I know what I saw, that monster killed Rowan right in front of me" She continues to reason

"And how pray tell did someone like you carry this bunch of nightmares?" He points to Wednesday, and Galpin shifts the topic back to the already anxious Y/N
