I feel the page call me
It opens to an empty page
It hums for me to write
So I shall write as told

It tells me to write my sadness
Write with my tears and anguish
Silently scream the pain away
With the flick of my pen

It tells me to write my joy
Bask the page with a smile
Happy memories running and singing
All at the tip of my pen

It tells me to write my fear
Scare the page away with worry
Crumbling to the floor and swaying
Side to side my pen will write

It tells to write what I love
I let the page fly with the dandelions
While I wish and hope on every one
Thinking of a song as I hold my pen

It tells me to write what I hate
I let the page drown then burn
Cackles fill the room at the monsters tears
Crooked grin at the scratching of my pen

When I think I'm done the page begs
Begs for my heartbreak
Begs for my hardships
Begs for my dreams
Begs for my laughter
Good or bad it does not care
It will beg for my hand on my pen on its face

And I'm happy
And I'm sad
And I'm scared
I love as I hate

But I will always write
Because I want to and I need to
Because I love the page as I need to feel

((The inspiration for this was the fact my idea journal kept opening to the same page on its own over and over and I just had to write in it. So I wrote about writing))
