Wings on a gentle breeze

they flutter delicately with ease

each flap a choice, each flap with joy

They flutter through parks

lined with lovers on silk mats

tempting fruits to stop and rest

but I will not stop my quest

Not when sunny skies become overcast

not when the breeze is no longer gentle

nor when the lovers leave from rain

Wings on a thunder storm

they are fragile and thin

each flap a choice, each flap with love

They flutter through downpour

each droplet twice my size

a warm light temps me to shelter

but I will not stop nor falter

Not when this is just a moment

not when my wings will get stronger

not when I know you're fluttering the same storm

Your wings on the way to me

tattered but strong they fly

each flap a choice, just like mine

We flap past, the deafening thunder

past the angered clouds

to a sun that dries every droplet on wing

every doubt casted aside by warmth

Wings flying together at last

every flap understood, every tear loved

each flap a choice, with fluttering Love.

((No art I really need to get drawing with my poems again lol. I also need to like start hunting within my files to try and find more poems because I'm like 90% sure I'm missing a lot here. Also, I'm semi thinking of actually publishing these. Let me know if you'd like that. It'll have the same title lol and be separated by forms of poems. There will be an entire section dedicated to failed Haiku's lol))
