Lesso's POV
Clarissa and I had secretly been dating for three weeks. Every night we would alternate between sending letters and sneaking out to meet at the bridge.
"Nora! I was worried!" Clarissa said.
"Why were you worried?" I ask her, concern lining my voice.
"I wasn't sure if you would come."
"Nothing could keep me away, Clarissa! I... I wouldn't desert you." I tell her. She ran to me and kissed me.
"I love you!" She said, sobbing into the kiss.
"What?"
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have..." before she could say anything else, I was grabbed by a wolf, and a fairy grabbed her.
"No! Clarissa!"
"Leonora!!"
"Clarissa!!! I love you, too!!" I yelled.
"Nora!!"
Hours later, I find myself beside Clarissa in front of the schoolmasters and our teachers. They told us to participate in a trial by tale. We agreed, and we succeeded.
That night I sent my raven to her window with a note.
Dovey's POV
I received Leonora's raven. I opened the note and read it.
Clarissa,
We did it, my love. True love conquers all. I am a never, and we are supposed to reject ideas of love and soulmates, but we are also supposed to break the rules. I never thought I would find love or be happy, then I met you. I love you with all my heart.

I smiled and immediately wrote back.
Leonora,
They will allow us to have meals together now—no more hiding. We can finally be together in front of everyone. I love you more than words can say.

I sent the raven back to her with the note. It is Short and sweet. I could see her in her window. I blew her a kiss, uncertain as to whether or not she saw. When she returned a kiss, it was her way of saying good night.
