A date between them was something they've never considered when working together or developing strange feelings for the other.

It was not even at the back of their minds: for Eddy it was never a possibility in the first place and for Brett it was something that was part of the deal but that he'd never stopped to think about.

So here they were seated in a fancy restaurant scanning an over complicated menu that for the most part contained little portion of overpriced food.

Waiter: "Can I pick your order?"

He asked politely to the men as Eddy started to look confused around the salon.

Brett: "Sure, for me a steak with the chef's sauce"

Waiter: "Sure, medium?"

Brett: "Medium"

Waiter: "And for the gentleman?"

He asked turning toward Eddy

Eddy: "For me just water thanks"

Brett looked back at him a little puzzled before asking the waiter to give them a little more time

Brett: "What is it?"

Eddy: "I'm just not that hungry, I'm sorry"

He was omitting again but this time Brett was not going to ignore it

Brett: "Eddy...please, what is it? Is it the place not to your liking?"

Eddy fidgeted with his sleeves a little before answering

Eddy: "It's just that I'm not used to places like this...here is all so pricy and elegant..."

Brett: "Oh...you know what? I'm not the type for these kind of places ither...I just thought that treating you to somewhere fancy could have been a good strategy...let's go to another place"

He called for the waiter and cancelled their orders explaining that they had something urgent coming up, and they both left.

Thirty minutes later they were strolling down the street of the Asian neighbourhood taking in the smell of Asian food.

Brett: "What would you like?"

Eddy kept looking around the street with a wide smile on his face. It seemed like he was not shy anymore and that the appetite came back. He pointed to a stall that served ramen and turned toward Brett

Eddy: "What about some ramen for starters?"

Brett: "Starters? Are hungry suddenly?"

Eddy: "Well, the offer here is a little better"

He said with a smirk starting to walk toward the stall.

Brett: "Seems like I know nothing about you after all"

Eddy: "Well...I know very little about you too, but I'm here willing to learn"

Brett chuckled and followed the man toward the vendor.

Brett: "I do like ramen too...and Asian food in general...I don't eat it often because I usually go out with clients to fancy places"

Eddy: "And don't fancy places involve Asian cuisine?"

Brett: "Rarely and it's always revisited to be more high class...the old good street food is a privilege almost"

They took their bowls and took a seat at the wooden tables in front of the stall

Eddy: "Well then I'm happy we are here enjoying some good old street food, cheers"

He said gently colliding his bowl with Brett's one.
