Wednesday

Chapter 6

                                                                                                 No one even said a word for a while as Scott continued to smoke his cigarette. Wednesday passed out a few minutes earlier and he tried to wake her up. Scott wasn't very successful so he puts her on his back then they walked back into the store together. They both got into the office and Wednesday woke up. Scott puts her down and Wednesday started looking around. "Are you okay Wednesday?" Scott asked. She tried to walk over to the clock-in thing and fell on the ground. He runs over to her and helps. Morigan ran toward Wednesday. "Are you okay?" She asked. Wednesday finally got to her senses and started heading to work.  Morigan just shrugged her shoulders, grabbed a headset, then walks over to her window. The business started to pick up as Scott walks up to the counter to take an order. Dax hands Wednesday a headset as their first order came on the screen. Dax started making the sandwich as she watched.  He finished making the order and hands it to Scott.  The next order came on the screen and Dax let Wednesday do it. Scott came back, grabs his order, winks at Wednesday, and then hands the bag to the customer. He looks at the leaderboard and started to scream at everyone. Everyone stopped what they were doing and listened to what Scott had to say. He stopped a few seconds later and got back to work. An hour went by and the rush started to die down. Wednesday walks over to Morigan and watches her do some dishes. She puts her hand on Morigan's shoulders and she jumped really high in the air. Morigan looks at her with a weird look. "Why did you have to scare me like that?" She asked. Wednesday takes a few steps away from Morigan and turns around. She had a great big smile on her face. "I just wanted to see how you would react if I scared you," Wednesday said. Morigan didn't know what to say so she continued to do the dishes. Another order came on the screen and she started heading toward the grill area. Dax was already done making the sandwich and then sent it to the front. Wednesday walks toward the front and starts scaring everyone that is in the front window. Scott runs over to her, picks Wednesday up, then takes her back to the grill area. They all stood there for a few minutes and then started to get ready for lunch. Morigan grabs the bags of frozen food and started putting them on the fryers. She finally gets done doing that and takes the order. Scott looks on Wednesday. "Would you like a break?" He asked. Wednesday took a long pause and thought about it for a moment. She nods her head and they started to head toward the clock. Wednesday was almost ready to clock out when Scott came right behind her. 

                                                                                                 She finally clocks out and Scott followed her outside. He grabs a cigarette and opens the door for Wednesday. She thanked him and opened the door for Scott. They both started to head toward Scott's car and got a conversation going. "So how are you like working here so far with me?" He asked. Wednesday didn't know what to say as she watched a car go toward the menu. She stood there for a few seconds, looked at Scott, and started to sweat. "I really like it here so far. After you found out that I almost killed a customer, I thought I was going to get fired," Wednesday said. Scott starts laughing. He was like that for a whole twenty minutes. "There is no way that I was going to fire you for something stupid like that. We are desperate for people to work," Scott said. Morigan came out to join the conversation. "Are you on break too?" He asked. Morigan nodded her head and Wednesday tried to think of something else to say. "So are you doing anything tonight?"Scott asked as his cigarette was about ready to be done. Wednesday looks at Morigan and shrugged her shoulders. Scott throws the cigarette on the ground and they started heading back into Mcdonald's. Morigan runs ahead of them and opens the door. They both thanked her and walked in. Scott and Wednesday walk toward the office to talk in private. Wednesday waits for him to get to the door before she went in. Scott closes it and sits down in the chair by the computer. Wednesday crosses her arms, waiting for him to say something. "Do you remember me asking you outside if you're doing anything tonight?" Scott asked. Wednesday nods her head and Morigan started to peek in the little window.  "Well, my husband and I would like to invite you over for dinner," Scott said. Wednesday's jaw dropped and Morigan barged open the door with excitement.
