Chapter 7

"I promise you guys are going to love this movie, it's sooooo good I watched it over hundreds of times" I ranted and ranted about the movie as I took out my hologram projector and centered it in the middle of the room as gen, chizu, and kitsune were in the floor sitting on a comparable mattress bundled with a large thick (f/c) blanket enough to cover everyone and of course we had bunches of snacks of our own to share but sadly Yuichi couldn't come since he was asleep. After setting up my projector "so what's the name of the movie again? seems like you like it a lot" gen asked with a look of boredom  "it's called Kubo And The Two Strings, I found it in my closet and thought I could bring it here" I remembered when I and kitsune were little we would watch this movie all day till we memorized everything word from word. It was around eleven o'clock so I don't have to worry about going home, grandpa doesn't come back from his mission till morning at three won't be good

As the movie was going to start everybody went silent like a church. But at the corner of my eye, I could see kitsune and chizu getting close almost cuddling, "look at the cuddle buddies~" I nudged gen earning a quiet laugh from him till I heard a loud grumble from my stomach, and boy I was craving some actual food than junk food but unfortunately, I have to cook it. I stood up and bad it to the kitchen fridge, I took a cup of shrimp noodles and set it in the microwave to warm them up. "🎶 I just killed my ex, not the best idea. Killed his girlfriend next, how'd I get here🎶" not gonna lie the song is kinda catchy even though it means murder but hey who hasn't killed their ex. "smells good" I swear to God my soul left from my body to the next parallel universe, I tripped over the table, chairs, counter, shelves, pillows, walls, corners of the counters and finally landed on the floor at the end of the table

Let this be the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to me "are you ok?" Yuichi laughed lending his hand to me, he was laughing hard. I took ahold of his arm and tossed him to the side making him do the same position I was in "not so funny now is it" he scrunched his little nose and kicked my side but I was still laughing cause the fall position is hilarious. "sooo...watcha cooking?" Yuichi got up watching the microwave end heating my food "rabbit stew" it went quiet for a moment waiting for his response but instead he said the most outrageous thing I've ever heard.

"Can I have some?" now let that digest into your head, a rabbit eating another rabbit is really weird and gross right, and also pretty much cannibalistic and probably illegal "no that's cannibalistic and it's not rabbit stew but instead it's a cup of shrimp noodles" the microwave opened along with a delicious smell, just as I took it out Yuichi reached his hand to grab it but I was fast enough to hold it up high to where he can't get it "oh I want some let me have a bite pleeeeease" he begged and begged like an eight-year-old cousin begging to have hot chips saying 'they not that hot' or 'my momma lets me have those' yeah one of those dirty iPad cousins. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE👁️_👁️) "NO, your stomach can't take it. Aren't you supposed to be sleeping" I whisper yelled shoving him off with my foot "no I just got out of the shower" I knew kitsune was lying at some point "if you really wanna eat something you can join the rest of us since we're watching a movie and hoarding all the snacks in gen's room" I took a fork off the table about to make my way back to the room but I realized I might have missed the good part "come on I don't wanna miss it" I rushed into the room with Yuichi following behind and sat at my seat, luckily I didn't miss much but at the part where Kubo is telling a story to the villagers and his paper origami comes to life.

"So what are we watching?" Yuichi whispered in my ear "Kubo and the two strings, it's about a young boy who's about to be on an adventure soon" I answered keeping my eyes on the screen and watching as Kubo made it to the cave and god did it upset me, soon the scene went to kubo feeding his mother. I wouldn't pay attention to kubo in this scene but I would stare at the mother as I would wonder what she was thinking, why does she look so sad? It was silly to be jealous of a fictional character but yet feel sad for him. The mother's eyes looked as empty and hollow as a wooden puppet, but it was just a kid's movie "what's wrong with his mom? She is really rude" Yuichi whispered to me again "she has brain damage, which makes her behave in a vacant, confused, and depressed way." as I explained he nodded and continued watching the movie. "not gonna lie. The twin sister is kinda hot" all side eyes were on kitsune from us "go ahead and leave" gen pointed towards the door.

An hour and forty-one minutes later

As the movie ended my soft self started bawling but so were kitsune and gen and surprisingly chizu was too "he deserves better OH MY GOD" kitsune yelled ugly crying into the child's shirt and latching onto her"that poor poor boy" gen cried hugging his plushies "I don't wanna live anymore" chizu hugged kitsune hiding her face. "not y'all crying over a kids movie" I look over to see Yuichi's eyes redder than our eyes were. "dude you were just crying at the beetle dying scene" his ears went down and he was quivering "HE DIDNT HAVE TO DIE LIKE THAT" he cried hugging onto me like a small lost child but he not wrong though that scene had me the hardest "HE DESERVED BETTER" I cried also hugging him back.

Just as the snacks and drinks were eaten up and gone we decided to go to bed, everyone went to their rooms while I settled in the guest's bedroom. I took the blanket that was left in the gens room and used it as a mattress and a cover since we'll it was big enough, just as I was about to drift off into sleep feeling the weight of my eyelids closing and my mind going blank I could feel someone behind me "that movie was awesome, the ending was sad but also so cool. Do you think I could do those moves one day?" yup yuichi barged in the room, yeah I wasn't going to sleep. I sat up listening to him talk about how good the movie was I want annoyed but a little happy about it "I'm glad you liked it. I tried using the same sword techniques but I'm not so good at using a katana, I broke one over ten times" turns out katanas aren't my best use of weapons "that's not so bad, I got a grape stuck in my nose for a whole year" by that story I couldn't help but laugh although it is interesting "your talking to someone who ate an insect, which burped out a butterfly in a week and chased kids with my eyelids flipped" Yuichi snickered at my confession, I sat up and listened to how he got a grape stuck in his nose. It was hilarious and cute, so in exchange, I told him how I got stuck in a tree for eight hours when I was four. We both laughed at our stories and soon it died down to silence.

"sorry we couldn't go to the arcade" he apologized rubbing the back of his head nervously "it's fine and you were in the middle of shedding anyway. And boy you have a lot of furs" I took notice that the blue ribbon that held his ears was not around his ears anymore, I reached behind his head and gently stroked the floppy ear and savored how soft it felt. "what are you doing" Yuichi chuckle moving his ear up "your ears are so floppy it's cute" I took both ears and admired the length and how pretty and soft they were "their soft and pretty...like you are" yeah I said that out loud did it? "you think I'm pretty?" he raised a brow giving me a smug look "no I said I'm tired" I denied what I said and laid against the wall "you think I'm pretty~" I laughed and rested my head onto his shoulder, my eyelids were getting heavy and at the corner of my eyes Yuichi was getting sleepy too as his head rested on toi of mine "good night usagi" I mumbled drifting off to sleep

"Night".

Yeah again one more time sorry I haven't updated yet just needed a brain break and maybe got distracted on Pinterest cause why not I couldn't help it and alsoni hope you enjoyed this chapter I LOVE YOU ALL🌺
