The sun was about to start setting, and they were about a quarter of the way to the next town still in a forest area of the path. The tree's where a lovely shade of green, the grass around the path was overgrown but didn't interfere and there where plenty of flowers of all different colours scattered around the area.
Everything just seemed to glow in the light of the slowly decreasing sun. The only thing that seemed out of place at that current moment on the trail was a group of four travellers making their way to the next destination on their adventure.
Techie and Vix seemed to be getting along nicely, nether of them seemed to be tiring, Both chatting and laughing amongst themselves. Arson on the other hand seemed to be slowing down and no longer full of energy like they where a hour prior looking like they were going to fall asleep any second now while also keeping their head down to make sure they don't trip on anything in there tired sate.
Meria noticed this and was making sure to keep her pace slow to stay with Arson and make sure that they didn't fall face first into the road ahead of them while also making sure the group didn't lose them. Meria wanting to help Arson more, came up with an idea to help the younger demon, she sped up a bit and poked Techie's arm. Techie turned her head to Meria while still walking forward stoping her previous conversation with vix.
Techie raised a brow, giving a facial expression that says 'what's up?' Meria simply nodded her head in Arson direction and Techie notice what she was referring to but seemed to be not sure what Meria wanted her to do
So Meria whispered to her "why don't you carry them until we find a spot to set up camp?" With Techie only nodding in response.
Techie slowed her pace and walked next to Arson, when Arson acknowledged the other person next to them Techie spoke "it seems like you've tired your self out, would you like me to carry you until we find a place to set up camp?" The demon simply nodded in response and gave a tired smile to the offer
So Techie helped Arson get on her back and gave them a piggy back ride walking in content silence, while Meria and Vix where chatting and watching the scene unfold with Vix quietly chuckling at the adorable scene of Techie giving Arson a piggy back ride like an older sister would for their younger sibling.
About half an hour has past and the sun was about to fully set when they found a good place to rest, Techie set Arson down so she could put up the one of the tents while Meria put up the other and Vix started a fire while staying with Arson.
Everyone was sitting around the camp fire watch the sun set. then Arson broke the silence asking "soooo, who's sleeping in which tent?" Meria hummed and then respond with a short and simple response "me with Vix and you with Techie" no one seemed to have any objections so Arson got up and entered one of the tent.
—TIME SKIP AN HOUR—
An hour has past and everyone is asleep except for one little devil who seems to be having trouble sleeping constantly rolling back and forth, trying to get comfortable but not being able to, the child sighs in defeat and stops moving.
Techie seems to wake up at the noise due to her being a light sleeper, she opens an eye and mumbles "everything ok kiddo?" Voice raspy and deep with sleep
Arson turns to face her and whispers "everything is fine, just can't sleep" techie nods and shuffles closer to the other and ends up wrapping an arm around the child "if you can't sleep because your worried something will happen, there's no need, I'm with you after all, you're safe here." with that Techie falls back asleep arms still wrapped around Arson and the younger only chuckle a bit at the weird sense of ease that comment alone gave them, helping them fall asleep in seconds.
All of them slept soundly for the rest of the night uninterrupted.
