"What is wrong with you? What exactly is wrong with you? I just said let me borrow your chair so I can talk to my friend and you're forming big girl, abi what?" A tall fair boy, with a scar just below his right eye shouts looking down on a short dark lean girl putting on the school uniform; a purple gown with black socks and black shoes. The girl stares at him pleadingly and whimpers in successions. He bends down beside her and she impulsively jerks backward and turns her face the other way. Annoyed, the boy stands up to his feet and takes a seat on the wooden made brown colored chair.
"I think I should be asking you that question, Chima. What exactly did she do to you?" All the pupils turn around to see the owner of the tiny feminine voice. It turns out to be a tall girl, dark and slim putting on the same uniform spotting a bold look. She walks up to them and glares at Chima who immediately looks away uncomfortably. She stretches her right hand to Grace who takes it still quite frightened. She helps her up and leads her out of the classroom.
"What exactly is wrong with her sef?" Another girl, this time dark and robust speaks up with annoyance. "Everytime she will just be acting like she's the boss lady. Me I don't like her oo." She completes.
"Seriously? Me I like her oo. She's the true definition of being bold. Besides what you guys do to Grace isn't acceptable. Just because she's not an extrovert doesn't mean you guys should call her muted demon. It's bad, none of us can accept it." Facing the girl who talked earlier, "Or Kemi, can you?" She doesn't reply and goes over to her seat. The pupils disperse and everyone returns to their space.
Just outside the class, two girls stood side by side. One talking, the other staring down.
"You see, if you don't start looking at this people shoulder to shoulder, they will ridicule you. You have to be guided." The taller girl says. She points at the classroom opposite them, "Looks like your sister is free. Go and talk to her since you have refused to say anything to me." The short girl nods and walks over to the classroom. She goes inside and settles on a chair placing her head on the locker. She is almost drowning out when somebody pulls her ear and she raises up her head to meet the questioning gaze directed at her sourced by two black pupils.
"What's wrong with you?" The owner of the soprano melodic voice asks. She is the exact replica of Grace with just a light tan to her skin. Grace shakes her head in denial and tries to return her head to the locker. Her forehead meets with soft fingers and she brings her head back up.
"I said what happened to you?"
"Nothing." The surprisingly baritone voice replies.
  "Seriously?"
"Yes."
"Okay." The other girl tries to move away but Grace holds the edge of her dress.
  "Gladys, come back."
"Why? You said nothing happened and I want to confirm by myself. Is it so bad?"
   "No. But then?"
"No but abeg. I'm going to that class." Gladys storms out of the classroom and goes into Grace's classroom. Minutes later she returns with Chima, holding him by the collar of his purple short sleeved shirt. She drags him into her class and makes sure he faces her sister.
  "Apologize."
"No."
"You're doing yourself a lot of evil by saying that. Just apologize and Lea this place."
"I said no." Chima sticks to his refusal.
"Okay oo." Gladys submits and immediately pounces on him. She delivers three blows to his cheek in quick successions before she is lifted up from her position on his belly.
